I think (Well know this is in the wrong section, I didn't know where else to put it)
I keep getting pop-ups from this site
http://rya.rockyou.com/ams/ad.php?placeguid=F985F24745&type=Leaderboard

My pop-up blocker is on but they still keep coming up

You need a good pop-up blocker.

If your using Firefox I would recommend adblock plus. It's a great addon and i've not had a pop-up since installing it.

Link:
https://addons.mozilla.org/downloads/latest/1865/adblock_plus-1.0.2.xpi

It's a direct link and will start downloading and trying to install soon as you click it so make you want it before click but yeah I have that installed to my Firefox and it's awesome.

Informaiton Link:
http://adblockplus.org/en/

Hope this helps.

Well there's your problem then! IE's popup blocker controls may as well not be there whereas one of firefox's strongest features is its security and defence against them. I don't know what things you don't like about firefox but if you want a similar experience install a theme that makes it look like IE :)

Oh yeah, and spyware and virus scan just in case. If its from the same site there's a pretty high possibility it's that

I had that problem and I used Maxthon. It works quite well as pop up blocker.
Then I checked C and found some odd files and deleted them and it was fine.
Spybot didnt work for me though although it is good. :)

Too much pr0n my friend! best thing to do really is reboot, every time someone has gave me a PC with this problem, i've never been able to get em' off, I've always rebooted, as it's probably quicker than actually trying to remove the pop-ups anyway.

GL though.

You could also try Advanced System Care.
It cleans up your computer and deletes your history etc.

You don't need to use a different browser, download it, don't use as a default browser. Just run it and leave it minimised. :)

Only other suggestion I have is AVG Free. If that doesn't work I'm out of ideas sorry.

Your best options are to use a browser with a popup blocker or reformat your PC. If you can't be bothered to do those its your problem tbh.

PeerGuardian worked for me years ago, other than that I don't know what to suggest :/ That may not even work if it's something on the PC. Other than that, other suggestions have already been suggested.

@catzy Actually pr0n is uncovered computer hardware.... (Computer nerds '[censored]' at it :P). Ever wondered why custom pc builders like clear sided cases? xD
