Pokemon Platinum

I've just beat the elite four, I've caught Dialga and Palkia (caught Giratina in the distortion world) and got the Orb out of the distortion world. There's just one little ******* left bothering me. Mesprit. I cannot catch him. I have lowered him to 1 hpish and paralyzed him.

I've used mean look to keep him there and chucked at least 15 Ultra balls, 10 great balls and 4 quick balls at him. Most of the time, they didn't even nudge once. Any tips guys?

Last night beat the Elite 4 etc basically done everything you said. mesperit was annoying me so i just used a 100% catch code on him. was to late at night and couldnt be bothered lol. been told to paralyze him.

having hassle with the shaymin aswell. gonna try find the last 5 pokemon i need to complete the dex then try get the 3 legendary birds.

Lol i kinda cheated ^^; well legit but sort of cheating.

Used the special codes for the 3 pokemon on PBR. so ended up using the surfing pikachu and magmortar

have to talk to him in the lake before he runs off. so u wont see him until then.

Anyway i managed to get ym shaymin. also have the 3 kanto birds now.

I used my master ball that I traded over from Collosseum in Diamond, haven't bothered to catch him in Platinum yet.

I've seen 490/493 on my pokedex and caught around 475 :)

I learnt from Diamond to keep the masterball for Mespirit :)

anyway only need to get 2 more eevees. and i cheated D: cloned Giratina (so i can have 1 of each form) and 6 rotoms. (same 1 of each form) i want to catch them all. lol

I full on caught mesprit first attempt with a quickball. I didn't weaken him or anything. :p

Unlucky with the attempts Nial,
I bred a ralts with gastly so it have mean look, taught it false swipe and hypnosis so it couldnt kill me and i was set for mesprit cresselia zapdos articuno and moltres :D!
