For my family to have BT as their Phone service and Virgin as their Internet service. I've signed up for 8mbps BT package and Im only getting 3-4mbps of it. I'd liek to get a 20mbps at least and BT doesnt offer it plus it's poor when it comes to coming through on their packages. I've checked the site and it says my house is compatible with firbe optic speeds. So yeah is it possible?

Yeah. If you have the cable internet, they don't need to use the phone line at all. You just get a discount for the VM internet if you use it with their phone package though.

My internet is currently through the phone line so will they need to come and install something?
I just want the internet (as I am going to be paying for it, mum&dad pays for phone) , it says £10 a month for the 20mbps package but how much will it actually cost for the installation and stuff?

£15 a month for 3 months, £20 after that

Installation I think is free, although don't quote me on that.

It said £10 a month for 20bps and £20 a month for 50mbps.
Anyone else verify the installation costs?

Yes. Because your going with their Cable services you don't need to change your BT phone line but it will work out quite a bit more expensive because you don't have their phone line. So works out alot cheaper and easier to have their phone as well as their cable broadband.

Yeah. They will come around and do a test to make sure your line can handie it. Than if it can install your new modem and router and that will be that.

The £10 a month thing is probably for those who take out their phone line service as well as their Broadband service.

Hope this helps.
