Use LoveFilm.com for anything other than RENTING! DO NOT buy anything from their shop! I decided to give them ago and bought a single-disc DVD and a three-disc boxset in the same order. The single DVD was despatched last Tuesday, June 9th, and it's now Wednesday morning, so eight days ago, and it still hasn't turned up (sans today's post), yet the boxset was despatched on Friday and turned up on the Monday? I'm very particular about my DVDs, they have to be kept in pristine condition, and when I received the three-disc boxset, the celephane wrap was torn and the box was so badly damaged it looked second hand. I contacted LoveFilm's customer services and decided I was going to send it back for a replacement, but not before, unbeknownst to them, I watched all three films in the boxset. I watched the first tonight, then went to pop the second disc into my DVD player for tomorrow only to find, within its slim case, a "delivery note" to some woman in the Midlands from last April where she bought the boxset for a pound cheaper at SOME OTHER COMPANY. How completely messed up is that?

Well surely if it's been dispatched, then it lies with the courier/royal mail who actually deliver the package?
That's pretty messed up. :S

omg, i think it was from here that my dad bought me Lion King at xmas. It was dead expensive right, cos its hard to get Lion King on dvd in the UK, and when he got it, the box was all torn and there was a letter inside from some guy like 'thanks for buying from my store' and my Dad was like :S, I'll have to ask him but I'm sure it was from there.

My friend uses them for renting so he can rip it onto his computer.
It's like buying, but cheaper.

Yes, they have a good rental service, but their shop is truly awful. I'm only with them renting because I got a code sent to me for a 30-day free trial and a £15 evoucher, so I did it twice with two different addresses ;). Although I didn't pay for either product, that's not the point, and I am momentarily going to complain on the phone.
