[WIP] Random radio website layout. Comment!

Hey,

Recently, i've been trying to find something to do to keep my mind occupied. A few of my friends wanted me to create an online radio so they could 'share their music' with others. My layout designing skills are pathetic to be honest, it's where i've always slacked. Anyway, i whipped this up in around 30 minutes. This is more than likely the reason why i'm not too happy with it >.> There's something about it thats bugging me and i can't quite figure it out. Hopefully someone on here'll notice!

I'm stumped on ideas for the banner at the moment which is why its blank. If anyone has any good banners they've seen on radio sites that i could steal some ideas from, please post here.

As i said, it's a Work in Progress. This is why i haven't done a footer/banner and things aren't perfectly aligned.

The layout looks good. What I like about it, is the background and the colour. Also the boxes with the information in it looks cool.

Overall i'm not that partial to purple however you've made great use of it with a overall great layout the only part i don't like is the box headers kinda stick out like they're just sitting there and don't blend with their box's

right, I like it generally. however, I feel that the background is a little complex and should either be just a block colour or even just have this texture around the side (the orange one is better)

also, im not sure if I like the headers of the boxes. just my two cents really!

I don't really like the headers either. It's just when i do a layout i'm lazy and never plan things out. So i just kinda add stuff as i go along. Couldn't really think of any other way to do the headers. I'll have a mess about with them when i can be bothered to open up photoshop again. I might go with the orange one, but lose the orange. Just use that background gradient. Silver + Black seems appropriate for the radio. It also surprisingly doesn't make it look bleak and dull either.

I think the background got worse eachh time :P But I like the layout, looks great, I'd love to see a live version when your done and get it coded. Hope your site goes well +rep. Pm me whens done if you dont forget =]
