View Full Version : Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen
Okay, great movie. There was definitely a lot more action in it, I'd like to say there was too much, but I enjoyed it far too much to say that. The storyline was fantastic (to me).
Anyways, it's late, I'm tired, I'm annoyed (people wouldn't stop laughing throughout the WHOLE movie and I missed the clips during the credits - if anyone saw them PLEASE explain them, thanks)!
What did you guys think to it?

I want to watch it, sounds like it is amazing!

It's Michael Bay, there's always too much action. So much so that he isn't doing a third.

Yeahh I went to see it but got bored half way through. But I still really enjoyed it, even though I'm not all that into action films. I nearly cried when Optimus Prime died :(

I can see why a film critic wouldn't like it, but to me it was just pure awesome.
I figured there would be room for a third as:
Megatron and Starscream are still alive.

hopefully seeing it next week, can't wait!

I'm sure there will be a third, it's a popular reboot, but Bay isn't doing it.
I will see this movie this week, it looks amazing, I love transformers anyway so yea, it's a must see for me. :P

There weren't any clips during the credits. The only ones were when you see Sam goes back into that science class which was right after the end of the movie. I watched the whole credits and nothing else came up.
I'm going to watch this film today, it should be excellent.
omg i cud not resist clicking the spoliers lol i ruined it i think

Mr. Bay is going to be making a low-budget non-action film instead of a third Transformers film. He will attempt to show that he can make a film that doesn't contain a billion explosions, wafer-thin characters and one ounce of story.

Do you think there is a possibility of Mr.Spielberg taking on the third?

There's a possibility. But I would have thought he'd remain solely as Executive Producer.

I am now convinced they MUST make a Neon Genesis Evangelion movie. The special effects were amazing, and the action was at it's best. The sound editing was also top notch. There were a few things that annoyed me while watching the movie, but they were so minor I can no longer remember them. Great movie, loved it.

I got hooked up in continuity issues but liked it all the same. Also, what is the purpose of people using spoilers in this thread? The title in itself is a spoiler :/ Did anyone else notice that the weird scorpion that survived the first film had met its match in this film, though a brief part it played? :P
Also, what happened to the diddy robot? It went missing :S

I've just got back.. I was underwhelmed. It was wayyyy too long.
There was almost too much action really as daft as that sounds.. I got bored of watching them just punch each other over and over.
And Optimus dying then being bought back to life was weak imho.

It's Michael Bay - there is always way too much action, because he simply can't do anything else.

He's very good at action though.
Misawa
20-06-2009, 07:51 PM
He makes films with poor story and characters and just fills overly long running times with explosions. Sure, it looks good, but there's zero substance.

I went in expecting nothing but a ton of action and thats what I got, so I guess that's why I enjoyed it so much. :P The only thing that disappointed me was that the trailer for The Last Airbender wasn't shown before the movie. I guess it only premiers with Transformers in America then... they did show the trailer for G.I Joe though, which looked super epic.

Wowowowowowowowowow.
I just got back from watching it - and if you're into Transformers as much as I am, you'd be as happy as me after watching it!
I absolutely loved it! I so badly want to watch it again, I just cannot beleive how good it was!
I was a little bit disappointed at the only 10 second appearance of Scorponok but oh well, still an amazing appearance at that!
10/10 I highly recommend watching this film! :D

Pffft, how would that effect anything? Would you rather sit back, not watch the film but learn x kills y, or watch x kill y and see why people love it? It's why I'm so against people getting so uppity over spoilers when they're ruining it for themselves because they've seen whatever miniscule information is behind it! :P (no offense).
I didn't really like them Jack... Too cringe worthy for my liking.

Can't wait to see this film hope it's good tried to refrain from clicking any of the spoilers but look forward to it still!
I saw it today, loved every second, I would definitly see it again although it was abit longer than it should of been I think, after a while some of it's dragged on but there was always something after that to make up for it, loved some of the newer transformers, the tiny car one was funny, not as good as the twins though. xD
Just about everyone in the cinema me and my friends saw it in chuckled when that popped up, as did me and my friends. xD
Oh, and lol at this part:

The UK got Transformers first!? Thats weird, we don't get such popular mainstream movies before everyone else that often.

And it's a Wednesday opening in the States. What's up with that.
I went to watch it on Saturday, it was good. Loads of action in it :D

The plot was there but it didn't really come into action until like an hour into the movie. xD

I saw it on monday and i really liked it somewhat a bit cringey but i liked the action scenes i do agree it was a bit long winded and to many action scenes but still enjoyable.

Watched the film today, agree with the comments saying its too long. Little bit disappointed, expected a bit more of a plot rather than smashing and bashing for 2hrs or so.
Watched it today, thought it was brilliant, i dont get why people moan about length, i thought it was brilliant, nothing wrong with the movie, number 3 anyone?

I watched the cartoons when I was young but don't really like the movies. They're okay as standalone films but not a patch on the tv series and the real movie imo.
It was alright but most of the movie was just everything being blown up, I think it would get a bit boring watching it on your own,

Revenge Of The Fallen was amazing. The only faults I found were that it didn't build upon the new Autobots (but this might just be me because i absoloutely adore Transformers and I want to see all their personalities :D) and the end battle was way to short :(
i loved jetfire tho :D

I thought the film was pretty average, the action I didn't even think was that good, the story was terrible and disjointed and i just didn't really enjoy it. The plot IMO could have stood up as a good film for an hour and a half max, but making it 2 and a half exposed how weak a story it was.

I've seen it twice, the first time I was at the very front of the pictures and we had to look to the left of the screen to see the location subtitles xD! I couldn't stop laughing when my friend looked with a smirk on his face. Also did anyone notice the breast shots towards the end of the film, the first one was when Mikaela and Sam left the house when the decepticons ripped the roof off, then around when Sam got (sort of) shot when it went into slow motion shots. We were making jokes that is was like an army version of baywatch xD!
Forgot to put my take on it, I thought it was quite good, but it lacked a good enough plot for a 2.5hr film, but altogether I was quite pleased.
