So basically, me and my friends booked a limo a week before prom (which was last Thursday), and it was so hard to get a limo as most were fully booked and stuff.

We found one in the end for us. It's a black stretch limo, 12 seater (but there is only 8 of us so they are charging per head) and free champagne so it comes to £145. So we was like great can we book it from 5pm-6pm, and he was like we only have 4pm-5pm, so we was like fair enough we can wait an hour at school before the coach picks us up to take us to the venue.

Well he's just phoned up then and told his that the boss' daughter has now taken the spot so he can now only do 3-4. That means us meeting up at my friends house at half 2, which is way to early for prom night. I can't see the three girls being ready by that time either.

The other option is that after the prom when we are dropped off back at school, he picks us up and we go around town and then he drops three of us off back at school who ain't going to the after party, and then maybe he will take us to the house party too which is about 20 minutes away from school. The only problem is this would be at like 12am-1am. Or we may have to cancel it altogether but it doesn't seem fair really.

Sorry for the essay and if you read it all thanks for taking the time to read it.

I was just wondering would the limo guy be willing to drive around at that time of night? And what else could we possibly do? 2pm-3pm is too early and 12am-1am could be too late, plus people need to be dropped off.

Id go for another way to get there aha.
I'm off to my prom Thursday and im going on a tractor and trailer following a digger just to be different from the normal limo.

If all the other limos are fully booked I'd go for something a bit different :) or even try a hummer but i'm guessing they cost quite a bit more.

Sorry if thats not very helpful :P

My dad was going to take my sister and some of her friends to the prom in the bentley but it wouldn't be fair on the people that can't come as it obviously has a limited amount of seats. Now they have had to hire a limo of some kind, they are paying the drive by the hour so maybe you should consider that rather than paying for a set time to be driven arounf in advance.

Limos are a horrific cliché! I'd go for something different, if at all possible. Though I don't see the problem with just getting dropped off by a parent or someone with a decent enough car.

He asked us for the time so we said 5-6, but he couldn't so we said 4-5 is fine but now he wants to make it even earlier which is just ridiculous tbh. It's probably 'cause we're "kids" he knows he can do what he likes. +Rep anyway.

I know but it's prom night you want to do something classy and fun. I mean going in a parents car ain't really classy. Suppose we could try something different but it's such short notice with our prom being in two days now.

Thanks for the reply though, +Rep.

I've seen some people come in a fire engine before, I know there's some places that'll chauffeur you in one of them, seems abit more out there than a standard limo seeing as everyone is going to be having one on these sort of events. Got the idea from this (http://www.limobroker.co.uk/) site, could give you some ideas on alternatives if your still thinking of arriving in "style" ;).

I just ran in, did the business and left. Easy. :P

Fire engines, VW vans and those sorts of things are cool ideas though :)

It's not like people are watching you come in anyways. I'm just getting my dad to drop us off in his Audi Q5, looks smart, is only a few months old (got it as soon as the Q5 was out) and he keeps his cars immaculet so ye.

Limos are played out. Large luxury sedans are the new limos.

Thanks for all the replies.
We've booked it with another company now who luckily had one limo left. Was lucky to find one with such short notice.

I think Mercedes owns Maybach.. but IDK, the S-Class has been around a lot longer than Maybach
