All their UK channels are switching off today at 6pm, and they have just entered administration.

RIP.

TBH I think Virgin should buy it out and call it Virgin Sports and sub contract it out to Sky for them too have the channel too. That way Virgin gets money, Sky gets money, and it should sort out the problem. Sky will buy one of the two packages up for auction but not the other, and Virgin could buy that, and the Scottish match rights and anything else Setanta had.

Virgin Media probably killed it. It wasn't that big of a channel as far as I am aware. I knew it existed, but like Woolworths, never cared :P

You didn't care about Woolworths!! :'( Best store ever, mainly because there were 3 around where I lived.

I don't have one near me and wasn't that fascinated by it, even though I was upset when it closed :'( It was nice to know it was there, that's all :(

I'm watching SSN now to watch it die.

EDIT: Just realised SSN is Sky Sports News and Setanta Sports News, anyways the latter.

Shame as it offered top tier football, boxing, internationals to people who didnt want into the hefty contract that is sky television. (the punditry was DIRE however).

I hope Rupert Murdoch chokes on his fosters.
