Yes, fill it up with more grass, it looks a bit empty but good. I like the idea with the gates leading to the mud bits.

No don't fill it with grass, fill the gaps in the floor with some sort of water! It would make more sense given the way the waterfall is flowing and it would give the room some variance. Maybe use some blue rugs or just buy blue flooring? :)
