Hey

Well 2 people in my school are confirmed to have swine flu, and 2 are being tested.

A 9year old boy sadly died earlier on at Birmingham's children hospital due to swine flu.

Also, a school next to me has 2 confirmed cases.

Should i go to school? i dont want to catch it, look what happened to that boy ^.^

The people that have died so far have had other serious underlying medical problems

if two people in your school have it then your school should be closed

If it's that bad the school should have been closed.

agree with robbie

besides, dont they just whack you on antibiotics anyway?

go to school, they must have it under control. Just wash your hands very regularly, and i mean with soap and hot water! Even if you want to take your own food or whatever for a few weeks so you aint eating anything thats in risk of contamination? Treat it like another virus, think about how you would avoid getting it.

The government have said that it is not neccessary to lose shcools now of swine flu as it is too hard to control. They have reached the stage where only tablets can help.

Has any1 heard bout the swine flue parties? Parents are encouraging their children to go to freinds houses to catch swine flu so that they can build their immune system for when the big hit in winter comes along.

I know of 5 people with swineflu thank god im not approaching them. But i thought bout getting the flu now and its a good idea get it now when its esy to fight of

It's actually 3 cases required to get the school closed however some schools are still open after 5 cases and some are closed after one case.

We have 5 confirmed I think. Actually, I probably have it myself as I have a cold, sore throat but tbh it's not like it's going to kill you unless you are already really ill.

there are 6 on my whole island of a population of 61,800. Although it got to us like a week ago so it's like spreading fast :) No one at my school though

To be honest if there was that many cases if I was still at school i'd stay at home :)

I don't think they're closing schools much now, the goverment have give up trying to contain it as its spreading too fast.

They say like 100,000 a day could be infected next week.
