I'm thinking of buying a dazzle recorder to record on my xbox 360.
But i'm unsure of the equipment needed to start recording.
Could someone / some people help me on what to buy and how to set it up?
Thanks in advance. My computer is next to my xbox so that helps?
Dazzle Platinum (DVC 170)
3 Splitters
Double Ended Cables (yellow, white and red)
There's YouTube videos how to wire it up etc.

Cheers :)
What do you reckon the estimated cost of all that would be..?
I think the Dazzle is £70 and a few quid for the wire and splitters, maybe £75? Tbh £75 for SD recording, maybe aswell pay £180 for HD recording, then you can make game videos, record your Sky etc.

But can i still make recordings of the games in SD? will the quality still be ok? Cos that's a big difference £75 to £180.

Well i have the £160 (Not £180) Hauppauge HD PVR
Quality - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F3NCoTcwWIY - Records in H.264 Recording up to 1080I

I'd much prefer the Hauppauge.
Hauppauge can still record 420p which I think is the standard on a normal TV. I guess the price must of dropped, so yeah it's £160 :P It comes with the cables too.

Well, yeah. But the quality wont rival HD.. Obviously.. And yeah.. Its up to you,
How much will you use it?

If your wanting to edit things with a Hauppauge you'll also need a beast PC. I've had to spend £500 on a whole new pc setup to handle the HD clips. It says 2Ghz dual core on the box but I'd say you need at least a 2.5Ghz dual core. Go with the Dazzle, it's probably not the best value for money as next generation it'll probably be useless but it's cheap now and the Hauppauge probably will drop a few quid as the time goes on. But yeah go for the Dazzle. I'd say you could go for a cheaper capture device such as the EasyCap. It's like £30 plus the wires it's £50.
