My step-brother is selling his Xbox and i'm interested in buying it. he got it just before Christmas 2008. he doesn't have a price for it but i'd appreciate it if you could value it and suggest what you would pay for it.

He has:

Xbox 360 premium with 60gb hard drive
Fifa 09
Call of Duty 5
GTA IV
2 wireless controllers
wireless adapter - what do i need that for? i have a wireless modem for my internet does this matter?

the wireless adapter saves you having to connect your xbox to your modem, so you can connect to live through the wireless adapter.
its if your modem is not near your xbox...

well, a wireless adapter brand new is around 60 quid; GAME.CO.UK (http://www.game.co.uk/Xbox360/Hardware/Accessory/~r327033/Xbox-360-Wireless-Adapter/?s=wireless%20adapter)
i think you could prob get a cheaper one on ebay, its just a case of looking around.

I wouldn't.

headset and wireless controller come already in the package, so you're not buying them. the games are not that good.

160 pounds would be a fair price from a friend / relative! He is trying to pull a fast one on you, wireless adapters can be picked up really cheap from others places, 30 quid tops for it, I myself bought mine from GAME for 45!

The console is around 170 quid new, your not paying far off that price for a preowned console plus some mediocre games (my opinion obv) and a cheap adapter! Plus buying your own games will obv be better than getting games you may dislike...

he does have games like need for speed and tiger woods but i dont like them sort of games.

so this sounds gd?

£160 for: the xbox elite, fifa 09, GTA IV, wireless controller and headset? (baring in mind that all this is relatively new)

judging from your comment i would buy my own wireless adapter from GAME.

I think £190 is way too much as first, hes your step brother and second you could probably buy it all on ebay for much cheaper!
To be honest I would pay around £120-£150 for it.

I highly doubt you can get a 60GB HDD for £25.
