I ordered a MacBook tonight!

13" MacBook Pro

2.53 GHz
4GB Ram
320 GB Hard-Drive

I only upgraded the hard-drive because MacBook's with a 320GB HD shipped within 1-3 days, and MacBook's with a 250GB HD shipped within 7-10 days.

I can't wait to get it!

Possibly your talking about different Mac books here, The first figure seems like the price for a Mac book pro. And the second just a Mac book.

I couldn't find a CPU as described in the OP on the Apple UK store under the MacBook section. It was only when I tried looking at the MacBook Pro section I found something similar, considering he mentioned he's only upgrade the HDD size from the base specs.

Nope, for a MacBook with similar specs, it would be $1129.

You could've bought 2 laptop's with better specs for less.

And what would I do with two laptops when I already have another one I am using for work?

By your theory I could have done the same when I got my MacBook, Out of all the laptops I have ever owned the MacBook has made me happiest about my purchase.

No, just no. Also, please learn to spell.

Hardly.

For half the price I can get a better PC than I could a mac, and lets be honest 'YOU WON'T GET VIRUS' ON BACK!111' ~ Virus' is hardly that hard to get rid of..

----

Congratulations on your buy but I personally think it is dead overpriced. Especially when you only get a 13.3in screen!

Why do people feel the need to start a mac vs PC argument in every thread? :S both have their advantages and disadvantages and if anyone thinks either is perfect they need to be shot at dawn.

Hope you're happy with the macbook, a 13" screen sounds so small to me! I've never used one though, it just sounds so close to 12" which is the largest generally accepted netbook size.

i went from a 17 to a 13 and now when i go back to my seventeen i don't know where to look. ;p

I can say I wouldn't buy a Mac as a desktop because I CAN get far better specs and have far more compatible games in Windows, but IMO Apple's notebooks can't be beaten. I don't see many computers truley given their stated battery life, I can quite happily use my MacBook for the advertised 5 hours, just as an example.

I agree. An Apple laptop is the only Apple computer I would ever buy.

They are exceptionally looking, no one can deny. I have looked into them, but a Laptop will never be able to do what a desktop can do, hence why I am custom building my PC :)

And a desktop will never do what a laptop will - portability.

Obviously, but personally for general use (for me) a Desktop is better.

I currently have two laptops and a desktop, but I will say if I bought a £2300 laptop - THEN it would be top quality!
