Spots, thats right we all fear them and we all hate them, they are horrible and nasty and we want them to go away instantly!

Im currently getting quite annoyed with my spots at the moment, im 16 and i havn't had many spots but iv'e been using this stuff to wash in, can't remember what its called which has made my spots go away and now they are coming back iv'e got loads appearing out of no where!

Now i thought this would be a good topic on people to share what products they've used and there experiences with the product on removing spots.

Please take your time and post to help me and possibly others out!
Thanks
matt.

that's the thing, you took stuff and they went and because they went i assumed you stopped taking stuff so they came back. if you continue applying the stuff then it's usually alright, from experience anyway. when i used to get a couple and i used clearasil stuff i'd stop using it as and when the spots are gone. then they'd come back. i soon realised if i continued using it even when i couldn't see them they'd be fine.

Mine are bad lol, I'm prescribed Tetrasyl 300 tablets and Isotrex skin gel to use twice a day along with Clearasil.

I've seen a lot worse but I pursuaded my doctor to give em me soo. :P

yeah jake i used to do that, wash my face with stuff for a few weeks n they'd come back a week after i stopped using them. drinking loads of water and washing your face twice a day with a face wash really does work, it's really that simple if people just followed it to begin with, & don't touch your face too much

jealousy is a sickness, get well soon!

don't worry, ignore the post above. a lot of teens who get spots are very hygienic but are merely unfortunate in their teenage years so spots occur. they won't be there for ever so no need to sweat.

I used to have loads of spots, applied clearisil all over my face, not a good idea. My whole face was so rough and dry it felt so bad and stinged aswell. Just apply a small bit to it each day and wash your face with warm soapy water before you do it.

I don't really get them no more. But ocasionally after a night out I'll wake up with one. All I do is go in the shower and just before I come out the shower, I turn the shower heat up really high, let it splash my face where the spot is then the second I get out I splash my face with freezing cold water and that helps it go quicker.

I don't know how lol.. I read it on the internet when I was 16 and its always worked for me.

heat opens up the pours and the cold water closes them. which is why you should splash your face with hot water, apply your face wash to get to the problem then wash off with cold water to stop bacteria getting back in.

soap is a bad idea, it'll irritate your skin, get an actual face wash from the chemist

Theres these Neutrogena wipes (sp?) in an orange packet. They say they remove spots in 8 hours. They gave me an out break over night :$

I have pills n cream from the doctors, it seemed to be working for a couple of weeks and my spots were reduced but after a while they came back even though I was still using the stuff.

Best option is going to doctors if theyre quite bad.

I just use random face washes/wipes and see which ones work better with my skin.
My friend got some tablets from the doctors but after a while she stopped using them and her spots came back really bad.

Probably because it was an anti-biotic based treatment, at first it'll work great then as your body becomes immune to it, they'll start coming back. Like in your case.

Best thing to do, go see a doctor for advice on treatments :)

I use Tetralysal 300 tablets. Prescribed stuff is the only stuff that works with me, and it doesn't even work that well tbh.

I agree, my Tetralysal seems to do not much really.

Use either oxy or Dulac Gel. Both help great x :8

Your spots are alright and controlled but as soon as you apply spot stuff it opens your pores which means dirt can get into them easier hence making spots appear :)
