Okay, so I know a lot of people think MJ dyed his skin white, or bleached his skin or had plastic surgery/skin graphs to make his skin white, that's all crap and media garbage. I'm going to attempt to explain how MJ's skin changed, without any surgery.

He suffered from a genetic disorder called "Vitiligo." This disorder kills all of the melanocytes in the body, which in time causes all pigmentation to be lost. The disorder predominantly runs in people of African descent, such as MJ. It can either run through the family or can be received through high stress levels, the latter being MJ's cause in my opinion.

A lot of people believe he wanted to become white to stop racism towards him etc, which is all wrong since he was proud to be a black man. Anyway, here is proof that MJ actually had such a dreadful disorder:

Here is proof that such a disorder can happen to other people other than MJ:

This might be true, but he def. had a nose job, i dunno if he did deny it though:S

He admitted he has had 2 plastic surgery operations, one for his nose and the other for his chin. Doctors that examined his body though during the autopsy etc had claimed that he had had several operations on his face, such as lips, forehead etc.

Yeah, he did have this disease but he did in fact bleached himself to cover it or 'cure' it if you want. In the end, he choose to do it.

He used makeup and that glittery glove on his hand to hide the disease, he never actually bleached himself, it would've killed him.

already knew this, but i thought he did actually bleach himself in the end or did something not sure. But you make a good point prob woulda killed him if he did.

yeah i'm sure he admitted/a doctor of his agreed that he'd had some "bleaching" of some sort to cure his skin in that documentary years ago.

he was ill, but he did have surgery to counter it.

One of my best friends has this irl.
People take the piss out of her all the time and it's completely unfair..
Someone even had the cheek to say to her when you going to die - you got skin cancer ...

Yeah I know, it's just that some people ignore the fact that he has such a disease and just want to believe what the tabloids say about surgery crap etc.

I prefer to use the term illness.
Disease makes it sound like an alien thing and alienates the person, imo anyway.

Yeah, it does Wahey. It was happening to him so he decided to turn white.

"Michael Jackson did not bleach himself in a bath of bleach, he had a skin disease called Vitiligo which went through his blood stream and caused him to get white blotches on his skin until he gradually was covered with the disease.

Some people think that Michael Jackson had plastic surgery to turn himself white, but they are wrong as the people who think that it is possible to bleach yourself white."

Beyonce and Rihanna and probably loads more black celebrities bleach their skin too. I think people were more freaked out by his plastic surgery (although I was more freaked out by Latoya going and getting the same surgery). He was abused as a kid by his dad for having a big nose so I think he was messed up about his appearance, they found creams for women in his house like anti-cellulite and ones to help breast growth :S

In a 2003 TV documentary aired by ITV (entitled "Living with Michael Jackson"), he admitted having his skin bleached...

'The subject of his changing appearance is brought up, but an agitated Jackson denies deliberately bleaching his skin, getting implants in his cheeks, having a dimple made in his chin, having his lips enlarged, or getting his eyelids reconstructed, claiming that the media is ignorant of what they don't understand.'

Unless he fell into a vat of nuclear waste, I doubt his DNA altered itself overnight.
