you'll feel ill doing it. ;p
but i don't think it'll cause any serious health problems.
unless you're obese or somethingg.

If that was the case people training for olympics would be dead, just don't push yourself too much as young people aren't mean to be doing too much, you're only meant to do 30 minutes of excersize a day and 10,000 steps I think, so yeah.

Nah I walk about 5 miles most days anyway and I feel fine. Although, I suppose it depends on the person and what their body can take.

Richie i've told you this before.
You need to start slowly
then slowly progress like one week you do like 2 miles a day the next week 3 miles a day ect. This will help you become fitter without you becoming ill

Very much agree with SamLouise. You need to start off slowly to build your stamina up. If you try to do it all at once you will probably fail through lack of fitness and just give up.

Agreed :)! You can't go straight into something at a high level unless you feel like you can do it. 8 miles is okay as a one off but not everyday. If you start off slowly you will gain more and over time you'll be able to run longer distances just give it time :)

if your body can handle it, you'll need to make sure you get all the carbs and stuff right beforehand

Carbs are a slow release of energy these include things like rice, pasta and potatos :)! You should eat them around an hour before not right before hand because its bad to do exercise on a full stomach

i didn't mean "right beforehand" as in immediately before he goes :P

i meant he needs to get his intake of carbs and stuff right (as in correct), before he goes out for a run. :P

8 miles is long distance.

Better off doing 2 miles and a workout if you want to get some shapeyness.

It most likely wouldn't kill you at all unless you had say a heart problem. But you can't just dive in and say im going to run eight miles you need to start off low and build up each week and do more and more otherwise you will cause an injury to yourself.

I'm going to be cycling about 6 miles a day everyday this summer.

I'm already fit, it's transport since I don't have a car yet.

Most of the journey is uphill, downhill on the way back though. I'll tell you how it goes on the 23rd of august.

It isn't good, start slowly and build up, you'll get too much blood pumping and your muscles working harder than they're used to, which'll cause cramps etc. Build up.

First day 1 mile, third say 2 miles, fifth day 5 miles etc.

It is also a good idea to have a good intake of same after you have trained, this helps your body more to restore etc..

Does the word "bonk" mean anything to you?

If you go from doing absolutley nothing to running 8 miles a day you will most likely pass out. I would start at 1 mile a day. Than go up a mile a week. Than you will get stronger, and your body will be able to handle running a lot.

Likely to get a cold one day or if you suffer from hay fever, and the only chance you'd die is probably by a car

you need to build up first.

like spend a month doing 2 miles,
then another month doing 4 miles,
then the next month do 6,
then do your 8 and you'll be **** hot.
