focus jake
I told you about an hour ago they can fax you it, if you can't wait for the tax disk they can send you a temporarily thing, my dad got one.
usually when you buy insurance the cover is instant, so you'll be covered but not have the documents. if you get stopped, you'll probably just get a 7 day producer (or a 14 day, depending on the bobby) which you'll be able to produce your forms within that time. You'll also get a quote summary if you get iit on the net which isn't a legal document but it's better than nothing. (you can't produce this, but its something to carry until you get your proper policy through.)

Not when you go to get it taxed no I don't think, but obviously to drive it you'll need to be insured and taxed. Say you went on direct line now and got it insured right now you could go out and drive it (www.askmid.com to see if PNC sees you as insured), and if you get pulled you'll just get a producer, and by then you should have your docs anyway

If your car is showing as uninsured, They will seize your car and not give a producer. Producers are old, if you cant produce there and then they ring your insurer THEN make you produce.

incorrect. I got pulled for no insurance when I first got my car and just got a producer.

No insurance means your car is impounded under the road traffic act. Until such time you can produce your insurance. It is done to prevent the driver from commiting further offences. They wouldnt let you drive off without insurance
Did you get a fine/penalty points?

Apparently even if you show documents they still ring the company and make sure due to people back tracking their payments so they pay for 1 month and let it roll

I got a 7 day producer, I produced 5 days afterwards and after waiting about an hour or so in such a bland corridor i got my docs back and left. no fine or points.
