Is there any possible way of getting it for free, and legal?

I only want it for the bluetooth feature. :P
Turns out Apple made the iPod Touch with bluetooth software on board, but havn't enabled it's capabilities. :D

This doesn't make sense.

You want something you have to pay for for free, yet you want it legal as well? You contradict yourself.

Listen pal, I asked for something out of good will, not so I could get slated, if you don't like, go away.

You do know the bluetooth is not like the bluetooth on mobile phones. It's more restricted.

But what you're asking is stupid, and even you should know that.

It's like asking "hey, can I download music for free and in a legal way?!" - it just won't happen, unless you're using the Nokia Music Store, of course. So no, YOU go away.

Ano' that, I just don't have £6 lol.

Hmph *sigh* people like you are annoying..
I asked something simple, you could of just said ''no'' but instead you chose the detailed answer, which in this case, has also sparked an arguement, that hadn't needed to be started.

P.S You're boring.

AHH CRAP, SORRY FOR DOUBLE POST I REALLY DIDN'T REALISE, AND I DIDN'T INTEND ON DOING IT
ON PURPOSE!

But it's like £5.99 or something? Surely that's not too big a price tag, is it?

syko2006

No, but if you can get something for free, why not atleast try? lol

Didnt iphone users who dont have the 3Gs get this update for free?
Why cant it be the same for itouch users?

I'm going to wait for my warrenty on my ipod runs out and claim on that so it will hopefully have it on it. I am not going to pay £6 for it when my sister got it for free lol.

No. William93 is correct, you can't expect to get something like that legally, for free when it costs in the first place, so actually your points are completely invalid and YOU should "go away".

LOVE YOU TOO. :D

EDIT: You can get the wireless headphones off the Apple website. :D
Or you could probably shop around and get them cheaper, you'd only need a pair of bluetooth headphones, you can get them from Argos or something. :D

I bought my iPod 3.0 firmware from iTunes. I would rather contribute to further development of iPhone OS than download it.

apple gets enough money from vastly overpricing their products, so i doubt a few people not paying £5.99 won't affect them too badly

I was waiting for someone to pipe up with that.

Apple have more than 1 department e.g; hardware dept., OS dept, iPhone/iPod firmware dept etc. Like in a school each dept will get a budget for new stuff etc and the 5.99 from a lot of people will help further the development.

yes but with the mass amount of profit apple makes from its 'hardware department' as you labelled it, it would be silly not to invest some of that profit into other areas of apples work, such as OS development, as i'm sure that apples 'os development department' does not solely rely on the collection of £5.99s it gets from people paying to update the software.

I bet 70% of that £5.99 goes into Jobs' pocket anyway or something.
