i just do it myself if i'm honest.
on itunes you can do a whole load at once so it doesn't bother me to do it manually.

Same here, I've managed to keep it all good up to now with tons of music.

I use mp3tag to do it myself, I've never been able to get mediamonkey to work.

Do it manually with a bit of help from Tag&Rename where it suits.

Can't beat manual as you do it how you want it not how some software wants it.

I right click the song on iTunes and click get info and do it that way, I find it easiest.

Just dont use mediamonkey. It renamed ALL of my 5000+ tracks to the same name and I could not undo it. I had to download them all again.

If the tags inside the files were right you could have used software to generate file names from the tags.

Yeah, tried that but it replaced everything. File names, tags, the lot.

Whatever the the tag thing in Vista is called. Saves having to pointlessly open a program to do it for me. If I've just added songs via a CD, Windows Media Player does the job if the tags haven't been added (for some unknown reason).
