I've sadly picked up a trojan. I'd usually easily deal with the situation myself by installing AVG and having it removed or smacking on the system restore and going back a few days. Sadly, I can't do neither. Whenever I try and download AVG (or access the website) the trojan will redirect me to another website. This is a common occurance with most websites and I'm usually redirected to something completley different such as directory websites or when I try avg I'm redirected to www.stopzilla.com (http://www.stopzilla.com). It's becoming really annoying! Any advice? :)

On another computer download some anti-virus software and transfer it using a memory stick and then install?

I've found a way to access the AVG website and I'm currently downloading AVG. I'd become so dependant with google that I was trying to gain access through there but it turns out that's where the problem lies. I can't access anything through google and therefore have to type it up on the address bar. :P

Put it down, reformat your computer, install NOD32, stop clicking every link under the sun.

Most viruses/trojans now infect the system restore, so that's now a useless feature, and having a trojan is pretty much format time. You can never be sure what else it's done once it's on your system.

And look where it got you! Don't download anything from non-credible sources.

That sounds alot like what I had :S I fixed it with System Restore though. I have no idea where it came from, I suspect I might of been clicking links looking for videos like a naughty, impatient child :P What OS are you running?
