Just finished watching this [yes, i downloaded it, msn me if you want the link].
I can't believe Dumbledore died and Snape was the Half Blood Prince - I thought it would of been Tom Riddle/Voldemort.
Some wicked parts in there, especially when Harry used Sectumsempra on Malfoy
Also, when Harry found the Half Blood prince's book
I won't reveal everything, but yeah.
Excellent film and can't wait for the sequel!!!
Also, for people that watched it what do you think will happen now after Dumbledore has died? - Reply in spoilers, and note something above it so I can read it :P

Woahh
I thought everybody knew the Harry Potter story.
Books are a million times better
None of those came as a shock to me because I have read the books countless times. I guess to someone who hasn't read the books, the films might be good but I thought THBP was horrifying.

Agreed completely.
Tbh they did a terrible job of such a brilliant book.
The ending is supposed to be a battle in Hogwarts.. not what was in the film.

i went to see it earlier and was expecting something really crap but i really liked it :O n oli they don't do the fight scene yet, they're building it up for the next film, i agree that the book was so much better but i think that's been the case for pretty much all the films

Same here! Low expectations = better movie. woohoo. :D
It was a 'filler' movie giving all the information so that it wasn't as action packed as some movies but it still managed to do some amazing scenes. They cut the funeral and I wasn't happy about that but the replacement looked like a candlelit vigil from above and that was just as good imo.

I LOL'D WHEN I READ THIS POST
Yeah I've read the books through and through, and I read the sixth one before the film came out :P
The only Harry Potter film I truly liked was Philosphers' Stone.
The books are way better and if you want to know what happens sooner then get Deathly Hallows.

I was suprised
snape killed dumbledore
and shocked
malfoy was the chosen 1 even tho he secretly sleeps with his teddy mr. snookums
but i found it interesting when they switched between voldemort now, and tom riddle and how he was evil to begin with (well sorta)

Trust me, Hagrid doesn't die. :P
The harry potter books are the only books i have ever read.
Unless you count the animals of farthing wood when I was five.
The movie was great, missing a few scenes was the only downfall.
The next book will be split into two movies as I've heard. It will continue to explain about tom riddle and destorying the horocrux's

I was well disappointed....
Im not a huge Harry Potter fan. I dont read the books, only watch teh films, i just find the action really cool in them. But this one had barely any action in it, it was more of a soppy love story.

My Mum and I both knew that was coming (both read ALL the books), but we both jumped a mile.
I must admit, VERY good film with some great special effects. Can't wait for the final one.
I saw this movie out in america at a midnight showing and I was so disappointed, they were not faithful to the book and wth was with the weasley house and the death eaters? that was just to eat up about 10 minutes of my life! Honestly JK Rowling better get the whip out!

I thought it was ok but I was annoyed at some things. Mainly how it was filled with so many unnecessary effects: the scene where they see slughorn and repair the house was so dragged out, the same for the death eater effects: tonnes of time was just them flying about. It annoyed me that they spent so much time on crap like that then missed out vital stuff like visiting Tom Riddle's old house.
By the way, did anyone else notice that right after one scene, the film seems to have a strange haze filter put over it? It's noticeable in the scene when Harry slips the Felix Felicious potion into Ron's drink. It's the filter normally used for dreams in films where everyone's faces have a soft glow except it was used throughout the film from then on? :S
dissapointing that the fight scene at the end of the book isnt in it but oh well. I always thought of the 6th film as a sort of filler anyway so didnt expect the film to be to everyones taste.
I still dont get how theyre going to do the 7th film by the book exactly because some things in the 7th are from other books (like finding the locket whilst cleaning that house). oh well :P

I'm so angry at the film :( It felt rushed. If you haven't read the book you wouldn't know what was going on. There was no emphasise on the HBP at all except for one potions scene. There were so many mistakes in the film (such as Harry having the locket within the cave, yet Dumbledore having it after the Astronomy Tower scene).
Pah. I thought it was the funniest film, and I thought it was much better than OOTP. But not the best. I'm glad DH is being split into two, hopefully it won't seem as rushed.

The 6th movie was just terrible. The only part with real action was when the hand reached out of the water and grabbed him. Was LOL when half the theater jumped up and screamed. But besides that, it contains maybe 1/20th of what was in the book.
3/10 GF movie.

I found it enjoyable, but to be honest it wasn't very good. Fair enough, Hermione x Ron but Harry x Ginny? Where was the development for that? Suddenly they're in love with each other? Since when? What happened to Cho? Was she even in the movie? I assume they haven't adapted the book very well.
I liked the fact that the movie had very little action when compared to the others. It seemed like it was actually focusing on the characters for once. I also found myself laughing quite a few times throughout, especially when Harry took that potion and at small things like Harry and Ron fighting for the book. Scenes come and go like bullet trains though and although the movie was quite long, it needed to be longer. It needs more development. Also, looking back at all the Harry Potter films thus far... theres a lot of stuff I still don't get... and a lot of things I think are just plain stupid. I hope the last films can explain a few things and end it on a good note.
I couldn't help but make a mental note that the scene just after Snape killed Dumbledore, where he was falling off the building, plummeting to the floor, needed to be longer to have any impact. His death seemed to be over too fast. One second Dumbledore's falling, the next Harry's having a chat with Snape, then the next everyones holding up their wands like lighters as if to say "Rock on, Dumbledoor!" That sequence didn't really work...
The thing the really annoys me though is the fact that Luna got so little screen time. She's the best character but she's hardly in the movie. She only has a few lines. That's unforgivable. Even when Harry took her to the dinner party she was in one scene then he just ditched her and she was never to be seen again. I'm sure I read something a while ago saying that in one of the books, I'm assuming The Half-Blood Prince, she does a live commentary for a game of Quidditch. Where the hell was that in the movie? I demand adequate screen time for Luna in both parts of The Deathly Hallows or else.

Highly unlikely that Dobby will even be in the next film, or Kreacher, as neither of them were in this one.

Luna should get more screentime in DH as they visit her house for information no the Deathly Hallows :)
