View Full Version : Flashed Xbox360!
Hey, Im considering flashing my Xbox. I don't have a clue what I need etc.
My Questions:
What do I need to flash my console.
How do I do it - my drive is Bena or Liteon some site said :P
Is their anybody in Lincolnshire who would do it for me?
What are my chances of getting banned from XbL?
Thanks for any help given and +rep will be returned.

when I had mine chipped ages ago they banned my console and not the acc which was fine.
only recommend it if you have 2 xboxs or only play single player and don't talk to friends

Probably, this site said Beno or whatever, probs a typo.

Sigh. It's not asking for a ban if you have correctly stealthed backups using abgx to get the correct PFI, DMI etc
Robbie, can you write a list of what I need with that drive I showed you and link me to a tut? :]
how much will the needed stuff cost?
You need:
To open your xbox - just find a guide
A sata cable
Prior knowledge on how to flash your xbox

there's no point in getting it flashes if there's a risk of ban, and yeah they do ban your console so there's no other way of getting back on Xbox Live.
That's not a risk worth taking.

There's no chance of getting banned if you know how to get STEALTH versions of the games, meaning they are the full rip and not modded.
You also need a SATA Chipset & a Sata Cable.
Also you need a Torx 10 screwdriver to open up your 360.
And if you tell me what color wires you have when you take your faceplate off I'll be able to identify what drive you have.
~Zokoli.
You dont need a torx screw driver, i didnt use one, and i dissasembled the xbox, and the dvd drive

Try like ck3.co.uk or mrmodchips.co.uk (i think)
And if it RRODs or that once its been flashed, you could always a) fix it yourself or b) put in a clean drive.
Anyway, opening the 360 is really easy. I personally used the ck3.co.uk team x-ceuter opening tool, which comes with everything you need except a small phillips for removing the dvd drive casing and it does have a TorX 10 screwdriver for taking the screws out of the metal casing around the mobo etc.

You don't need a torx screwdriver, just a small one.

Put a clean drive in to fix RROD? Doesnt work. And replacing drives requires keys to be extracted from the firmware, then injected into the new drive.
And my xbox is flashed. I play online every day, NO ban.. Tbh, if you know the ins and outs of burning ISOs then you should have no problem..
Its not hard. but tbh. i find that getting mine flashed was well worth it.

That's the dumbest post I've ever seen on this forum.

There isn't a high risk of ban if you do it properly, as Robbie as said millions of times it's detected as a real legit disc :P
Sorry but who are you to judge how good a post is ????

Lol, I saw that before you edited it ;) I don't hate you actually, and it wasn't well instruction. You told him he needs basic flashing knowledge, obviously Sherlock Holmes, why do you think he made this thread? To learn. Then you're telling him he needs to open his Xbox. How's he going to flash it, from the outside?
If he gets a xecuter chip ;)
Then again he'll have to open it to instert it.
I dont like arguing, so maybe if i dont reply anymore it wont cause anymore fusion?
Who's arguing? I was just pointing out that your first post was the dumbest I've ever seen on this forum. :P
Edited by Catzsy [Forum Super Moderator]: Please stay on-topic or it could be seen that you are posting to cause and argument. Thanks

You obv didn't read the full thread Mr Forum Naughty Bo because the above is the most stupid post I've seen on this forum. Well I guess it's my personal opinion so it doesn't really matter tbh... but I cba deleting this.
Anyway, GraysAthChaz. You do know you can remove the sticker without breaking it right? It's what I did however I wont be sending mine to MS when it breaks (if it does) I'll just repair it. Simples.
And whoever said you'll get banned, get the **** off the internet. Seriously, you can only get banned if you have a bad game and don't take all the required safety precautions in which case you don't deserve to be able to connect to the internet. People like that should just stick to playing COD4 infront of the TV with there sister taking pictures of herself in a mirror for forty year old men.

We cant flash it for you.
You have a low chance of getting banned, IF you do everything right.
Google it.. For places to get it flashed
I could flash it but i live in Bristol :/
It's fine to go online with it when it's flashed. I did mine a little over 6 months ago and im still playing online with no ban. There's just certain precautions you need to take.
For example, make sure all games you burn / buy are stealth patched correctly. Make sure you don't play games before they're released in your country. Also, don't tell anyone your console is flashed, and when there is an 'update' or a suspected ban wave, just unplug your console from the internet and wait for the all clear.
Several forums are around solely based on xbox flashing, copied games etc. I'd recommend http://www.xbox360iso.com. Check they Buy/Sell/Trade section and try to find someone who lives in your area. Also, go to the thread at the link http://www.xbox360iso.com/showthread.php?t=77870 if you don't know how to do games. He does 5 for £10, and they actually look like the real thing (he does the labels on the discs with a high quality laser printer and they look incredible!)
People think there's a high chance of getting banned but there really isn't if you know what you're doing. Remember though, there is always the possibility so obviously only do it if you're not worried about the consequences.

Well the first bit about not playing games before release is rubbish, I've played plenty before release and no ban. Microsoft can't tell if you've purchased it from a store or not. Oh and what do you believe unplugging it will do? Either way if you want to connect to live again you'll have to plug it in and at that point all the data is sent to Microsoft.
Oh and if you must get it off someone on there, Stevoal does pretty much next day delivery and has a **** load of burners and discs. He also does special deals if you order off him for a while.
I never said they'd 100% stop you getting banned. It's just useful precautions to take to prevent getting banned. I just always figure its better to be safe :P I know that regardless of whether you are connected to the internet you can still get banned, but it's just measures i take. It's been 6 months and still no ban so i'm not complaining.

I'm getting mine flashed too, I'm just taking it to my shop for them to flash it, 30quid.
No one has been banned in over a year so there's not a high risk.
There's supposedly going to be a ban wave in October/November because that's when all the highly anticipated titles come out. Like MW2 and Assassins Creed II
Don't listen to people that make rumours about banwaves. No one knows.
1. Playing a game before release WON'T get you banned, if it's a bad copy/reviewers copy it will. I've played countless games before release, and survived the ban hammer since 07. I'm pretty lucky as of now.
2. Use ABGX to verify your games, and if your scared of getting banned, don't play anything that doesn't verify in green.
3. Get games from trusted trackers.
And as i post this.. 20 minutes until Batman: Arkham Asylum is downloaded.
Thanks, Sam ill be looking at that site now.
