The name is fine by me. It's obvious what the site will be about and ties into an in-game event. If you don't like it, who cares, you are only one person.
A name does not make a site, the content does.

Fansites only fail nowadays because people say so, go for it and dont let anyone pull you back. Nice name and cant wait till its up :)

OK then. Let's go on your basis, don't make 'silly' assumptions. But, tell us, how would you go about creating the skill calculators? Would you really be prepared to write hundreds of guides? Until you get a firm team behind you willing to put the effort and time in, the likelyhood is you will end up copying the content from other websites.

You need to offer something new to your site. When I played a good 3+ years ago, there were some big fansites out there, with fresh content daily and unique features - so, as a piece of advice, create something unique to your site - what that could be, I don't know, but I am sure you will be able to get the support from someone.

Responses like that are what eventually lead to sites failing. So what if one person doesn't like the name of your site? .. If one person thinks that, then without a doubt others will too. I agree with what others have said, ScapeRune sounds tacky - come up with something original and interesting - it will get more visitors to your site.

Take all critiscm with interest and the motive to change - it will get your further. But, I do agree with what many have said - don't let people get in your way telling you to give up - do what you feel is best for the site, but believe me, that isn't ignoring your critics.

Just my 2 cents..

3) Mini Game Guides
4) Calculators if possible
5) Downloads
6) Competitions
7) Clans

That wasn't quite my point. Opening a site with incomplete content or lack of content tends to drive people away and not return, so it's best if you get a good team behind you to complete the content, and then launch with a complete website, but obviously adding new features in the future.

Ahh.. I understand you better now. I agree with what you are saying, and it will take a long time to get everything ready. The sooner I can find volunteers = the better.

i am currently also opening a fansite

i have had over 100 refferals to jagex and soon to be on there top 15 fansites list

I have done over 4 now mod interviews most of the Jagex mod ajd. (social networking mod), be nice to help else your fansite gos no where.

i was going to also have a radio kinda like the habbo ones where some people could meet up and woodcut i dunno do some minigames.

i have all skill guides wirtten and people working on calculators. and signature ones to.

i have over 15 money making guides written and a few people from habbox forum are helping to Thanks...

i'd love to work with you i think your logo looks cool i did see the post on another forum for it though still nice. Name is a bit bad because an Ex privet server used to own that domain. or .com .co.uk .net one of them.

I was about to say I've never played RS in my life (except spending about 15 minuites doing that stupid tutorial at the start and then next time I tried to login I'd forgotten my password lol), but anyway I though the name was quite clever, kind of like ClubHabbo :). I'm surprised at the amount of criticism it's getting - I'd wouldn't have even expected that domain to have been available.

Anyway, I'll go back to threads I have a clue about lol, good luck with it! :D
