that's the point of insurance, you hope to god you never need it then if you do ever need it, it's there for you.

You will need to RMA and pay the amount they charge you for it.

Is it not possible to take out insurance whenever you like and then just claim straight away?

When my dads phone was stolen that was recommended by vodafone themselves and it worked.

Does that not defeat the point of the insurance in the first place?..

"Oh let me drop my phone down the toilet, then i'll take insurance out, and then claim for it back.."
Strange peopleee

Strange peopleeeYeah it totally does but it certainly worked with Vodafone, I'm not sure if it will with T-Mobile, they use a third-party for their insurance if I remember correctly?

Dunno..
It's like I'm with Mobiles.co.uk contract wise, but my insurance (which i bought through mobiles.co.uk) is actually from carphone warehouse which have some company to insure them.. So long winded!!

Well my G1 has dents and could look better haha

This is my second G1 the first one I had the plastic or glass or w.e it is the casing of the back the camera part smashed and It could of been repaired for about £0.50p MAX and because I got insurance I had a new G1 because of that smash :P

Insurance is a good thing if your phone is on a 18 month contract and its worth more than £250, best thing to do is if you did have insurance go to the T-mobile shop and sort it out from there the last thing you want is you kipping up £20 - £40 on the phone line to the insurance people, when t-mobile will ring them for you :)

If you just need some parts, get them off eBay and do it your self, I just ordered one on Thursday, got the LCD screen yesterday and fitted it my self using the service manual.
