Been playing this game for a few days now, i prefer it over FIFA 09 JUST.
I love virtual pro though, but when you make a manager mode with your pro in, then unlock more acomplishments it dosent update your pro in manager mode which is crappy.
Also how do you make your Pro take throw ins, i wanna unlock the 2 throw in traits.
Probably has to be a winger or wingback.

He's on LW and ive played about 90 games with him and hes not took one flipping throw.
Simmzay
10-10-2009, 08:36 PM
LW is different from LM and in 09 I think it was LCM/RCM/RB/LB that took the throws.
AlexOC
10-10-2009, 08:47 PM
Ahh ok, thanks i will try him in them positions see what happens
Also i hate the game wait on accomplishments, like to unlock the score 200 goals one you need to have played 100 games, ive done it in like 60 games.

Started a career with Madrid. David Silva is very good on the left, I recommend him but Benzema is crap. I started a MM with Madrid after my 4 attempts using Arsenal failed and I couldn't load it back up. Bought Clichy and Silva and both great. I put Benzema on for a half, he hardly touched the ball and when he did get it just got tackled. Subbed him off for Higuain, scored a hatrick. Sold Guti/Raul/Van Nistlerooy/Dudek, they weren't being used so thought might as well get some cash. New Madrid team is very strong. I just hope this time it loads when I play next.

BUT PS3 LOOKS SEXY. LEAVE ME ALONE, FANBOYS.
Ok, on first go, the dribbling is immense. Nothing else truly blows my mind. Liking the realistic manager mode muchly as well. On FIFA 09 I got Vidic to Hartlepool once he was a free agent and I haven't managed to sign anyone yet, but I don't mind, I'm loving it.

Lol. If you go on the offical forums this game is getting slated more than I've ever seen a game get slated lol. It has over 70 bugs. A lot you won't notice but some are quite big. A lot of people are selling it or trading in for PES. I like it still though apart from online which is broken.
Geraint
23-10-2009, 09:09 PM
Fifa with bugs is still miles better than PES.
Just had a quick look on the EA forums. I see what they mean by the goalkeepers. I've complained since the beginning. They come out which is annoying and earlier an opposition's shot hit my defender, looped up, keeper just watched it hit the crossbar then the ball was there stationary which the goalkeeper could get easily but he didn't and they scored. Then, in the same game, a ball hit my defender on the line was going in and keeper reacts after it crosses the line which again he could have easily saved. I'm all for keeper's making mistakes now and again because they do in real-life but some of these things are terrible.

23-10-2009, 10:45 PM
I think what's annoying is the goalkeeper rushes out when nearby defenders still have a chance to get to the atacking player.

I've been a member of the official forums for around 2 years and the same thing happened with FIFA 09 and FIFA 08. The fact is, though, that the majority won't sell their copy for PES because they know the game is worse than FIFA. Yes, I have PES and it is VERY robotic and unresponsive and generally a worse game. Call me a fanboy, call me whatever but I want a good football game. FIFA gives me that.
I, however, might end up trading my copy of PES in although then again, it does offer something different from FIFA and scoring from 40 yards is a formality (something which PES fans claim was wrong with FIFA). Fact is, once again, FIFA > PES.

I scored and absouloute screamer about an hour ago with gerrard from a free kick just after the half way line (outside centre circle section). Gerrard blasts it and BAM in it goes 1 - 0 and thats how the match finished. Gonna be hard to beat that for me online on Fifa 10 ever.

Lol, I think people are complaining way too much on that forum to be honest. There are the obvious flaws but it's still playable and a good game at that. I bought PES 2009. Big mistake. Good thing it was only a fiver and I traded it in for £8 in-store credit to get FIFA.

I'm on World Class difficulty and professional board difficulty. I'm Cardiff and in my first season in the Premier League I'm 2nd with Chelsea top. I've lost 2 games, drawn one and won the rest all season and the board aren't too happy because I'm not top when my aim for the season is too avoid relegation. If I'm top, they're happy but I need more time to get top because Chelsea are smashing everyone and have dropped 2 points all season, including a 4-0 drubbing of myself.
I didn't do the 3 trophies one either in my first season and I won the Championship, FA Cup and League Cup. Going to try it again this season with the Community Shield, EFA, Premier League (Should help with trophy of win a title in the 5 major leagues), FA Cup and League Cup.

Yeah you can't just go into a season with a top team. Doesn't work as you get the sack. It's quite realistic as no top team would hire a random manager, although the way to go around it by sacking you for 1 loss is a bit rubbish.
You have to start with a lower club and work your way up. I'm playing with Milwall and on the brink of promotion. Signed Darren Ambrose, and Justin Hoyte and a couple other players.

I was playing 10 last night and it was pretty good. I see how it's better than 09 now, at least. Was funny though, my mate thought R1 was sprint rather than R2 so he kept dummying the ball every time it came to him :P.

Not really. I've had fifa from about 9 years ago, but this one isn't that good if you look at the finer details. As I said, over 70 bugs and lots of people that have been fifa fans have returned this game as people feel like it is a let down and too buggy, so it's a fair question to ask.
I think it's ok and you won't notice have the problems, however, there are some obvious faults but generally it's worth getting yes :)

Just got Accrington Stabley promoted to Coca Cola Championship league 1, on professional.
Hard work I tell you, can't get anyone to sign and the scouts are ****. Funnily enough, I was playing against Wolves in the F.A Cup, and simulated it cause I wasn't bothered about the Cup, they beat me 5-0 and I had 5 players sent off? I didn't have enough players to cover the banned players so had to forefit three games. Harsh.

My Millwall team are looking decent. Average rating of 66.5 which isn't bad for a League 1 team. Almost finished my first season and on the brink of promotion.
So far I've bought 10 players and sold 11 so had a bit of a re-hall but that's the majority of my signings for the next few seasons.
Bought 6 youth players and then 4 first team players:
Justin Hoyte - RB
Darren Ambrose - RW
Darren Carter - CM
Darren Potter - CAM
Just realise how many Darren's I've signed :P All quite realistic signings with a lot of experience which is good.

I was at Sunderland, then Munich, and I lost out of the Deutschpokal (?) in the first round and lost 35 reputation points, dropping me to a 3 star manager, and meaning that they were "reviewing my position" and every match I lost or drew took my board confidence down by like a fifth, even though I was top of the Bundesliga. I ended up getting fired so went to Drogheda. Then I went to the A-League, and after 4 seasons I'm now in Turkey, hoping to get into Europe.
I gave up on signing players, upgraded my scouting to 9/10 and now I'm scouting Brazil & Europe.
That's like one of the first things I do. Fitness to 10, then scouting to 10. I can never sign anyone so I just scout. I don't do too badly though.

Selling this game. Finally had enough, it has TOO MANY FLAWS.
1. Referees:
- They give free kicks for anything and everything, you cant bump a player without a free kick being given. It's bad enough watching a real game that doesnt flow, playing one? No thanks.
- They CONSTANTLY get in the way, i mean, yeh it happens, but twice a game? No.
2. Goalkeepers:
- What the actual ****? Who thought it would be a good idea to make keepers come out automatically? Even if you can keep them back, it's hard to get used to and just uncalled for.
- WHy do they dive dramtically for rolling ballsm, and tip them away for a corner? Ever heard of catching EA?
3. Defenders:
- Constantly standing still, they move away from where they should go when your not controlling them, leaving huge gaps and its way to easy to sprint past them, even when they 'hold'.
4. Passing:
- Terrible, half of the time they pass in the wrong direction, or to the wrong player, not to mention randomly kicking it backwards to the OPPOSITION?
5. Online play:
- Has got much much worse, i mean everything that was bad about it in fifa 09, has gotten worse. It's now much easier to sprint with a fast player, much easier to chip a keeper, much easier to pass to a skilfull player, turn and run. This game requires next to no skill anymore, just knowledge of the flaws.
Overall, fifa, as usual, requires little knowledge of the game, because no matter how well you read the opponent, you still cant stop them due to ****** defending by off ball players, and **** keepers. All you need is two fingers, one on sprint, and one pressing pass and shoot. SOLD

I agree with all these flaws, i hate being in the clear then wanting to pass to the other side of the box for an easy tap in for the other player, then it passing straight forward over the touchline. WATCH THE **** MAN.
And when they cross it in and your pressing head it away and your player just leaves it and they score. WATCH THE **** AGAIN MAN.

No your wrong completely lol. Look on the forums and you'll see there are over 100 bugs in the game that have been listed. The bugs aren't anything to do with the controls they are to do with the gameplay and small things that haven't been fixed yet. The glitches don't stop me from winning but they are annoying as they take something away from the game for example things in the MM are messed up along with the weather and other things.

Yeh it's a good laugh with your friends. I like the career mode.
I've just took the hereford job, after a season with Arsenal, finishing 2nd to Chelsea :( (all came down to last game). I've decided to try transform hereford into a five star team over time. All i've done so far is update some staff and play the friendlies. I did score a cracker in a friendly with Birmingham which ended 1-1 and i always play on world class.
That was the worst piece of writing i've ever done, did not flow at all! But yeh the game is good, just frustrating when unrealistic things cause you to lose. But yeh, you could always score more goals!
