pretty natural for them to be funny about it as your always a child in a parents eye. I wouldnt imagine youd be able to do much about it at this moment except the arguments that if your over 16 your responsible for your own actions in that way inclined, also if youve been in this relationship for a long period of time your parents may see that theres trust and self respect and in turn be cooler about you two sleeping in the same room (they'll know its more than a fling or w/e).

Snobby chav? That's a new one.

My mum's always been fine with it, my ex's parents were fine with it but the girl I was with before that let us stay over but in seperate rooms and her mum & dad would sleep with the door open so we didnt sneak in the night :/

My mum doesn't mind her coming over and staying to the wee hours of the morning but she doesn't condone her sleeping in the same room as me which ridiculous because we are both of legal age if you will. Same applies for me at hers, her parents don't mind me staying late (if her they are in...) but I'm not allowed to stay over at all. Her dad and her brother keep eyes on me 24/7 too but her mum doesn't mind at all.
I find it's always the case where on the guy's side the mother is protective and on the girl's side it's always the father, and brother in this case. :/

Well, my last girlfriend, they let her sleep in the next room but I snuck in anyway. But my family want to go camping this summer and we have a tent that has 3 "bedrooms" and my mum was saying "well, she could come too! she could sleep with you!" and I choked on my food. Then she said "Oh I'm sure you do it when you sleepover at these parties!" I was like, Mother! :$ But shes right...

innit. my parents have always been fine with it but i've never taken a girl home to have sex with and they probably know that because i've only had close friends stay at mine just me and them. if it was someone they didn't know they might be a bit funny about it. i think they're pretty laid back though :8 on anything about smoking that is.

and yeah voiding, i'm gna be like soys dad, he sounds awesome

Init embarrassing your offspring is what it's all about, main reason to have kids tbh other than the free child labour

My mum just lets me get on with it now, she never really knows who I'm with anyway. "You can't just keep bringing random girls home" was a good quote, as was "how many girls did you bring back last night?" at the dinner table after New Year's Eve this year - not great on its own but the look on my stepdad's face when I replied "oh just the twins" was genius

Never had any issue with uptight, oh noes not the sex types of people, lol. My gf's parents didnt have an issue with me staying over (and sharing a bed) with my gf from the get go. Same on this end o.o

Over protective parents are a drag.

Pretty good deal you have there. I don't know what my mum thinks will happen, I'm not going to bend her over the desk as soon as my mum leaves the room I just want to be close to her seeing as just being in the same house doesn't do it for me.

I dont really get why your parent would care even if that were what you were planning? Were they hoping you'd stay abstinent for the rest of your life o.0

After my boyfriend slept round for a few times back when we first started out, it wasn't long till my Dad bought a lock for my door. Kind of him. I'm guessing that my parents were alright with it. They were young once :eusa_danc

Well I live on my own now so it's not really an issue anymore but when I lived with my parents they didn't really care that much lol. But obviously when I was a lot younger they made my gfs sleep in a different room lol.

My mum doesn't care so its all good. My gf's parents were like "He's sleeping in a sleeping bag on the floor in your room" They came in, in the morning and saw me in her bed.. ever since they don't care.

My situation is at my house there's never been any problem with my girlfriend sleeping over, infact there's also been lots of embrasing questions the next morning "Do you need any more condoms when i go shopping" -:- "MUM!! Why would i need condoms :S" lol but at Vickys house there's never been a problem with me staying over just in a different room but it's been 9 months and vicky's getting a double bed soon so her dad might lighten up :).
