View Full Version : Question about selling layouts

Since the first (Habbo) layout I designed people told me I would be good enough to make money out of layouts if I wanted to. I'm trying to decide whether it would be worth while or not, and even whether I am good enough.

Personally, I wouldn't be bothered spending time on anything if I was getting less than a tenner for it. If I was to attack the coding side of things, I'm relatively new at that so it would take me a lot of work to get right.

Basically I'm wondering, if any of you have seen the only two layouts I've done (links in sig), would you have any idea of what price range I'd be looking at realistically if I were to begin designing and selling Habbo layouts? Then how much extra could I expect with coding?

When it comes to selling, does it generally go: pay via PayPal then send files via MSN or something?

Thanks :).

They seem to me to be very unique and I think that's what some people are failing at atm, just following trends.

Although, some things would have to be simplified to make it easier for you to code. ( i think )

Man, don't design to earn cash at the beggining.

You are good but keep going and making layouts.

Best thing for you to do is to keep making them, offer them up for sale, and then if nobody takes, just keep.

I have tried selling 2 layouts that I desigend recently and neither have sold. That'll be because the only way that I can make good layouts is by making each part individually in Photoshop.

Just make them and try and sell and learn to code whilst you do them.
