£275 + P+P..

Anyone?

How much is it brand new? o.O It better be more than £600 if you want £275.

No headset or charger reduced the value by 40-50% at least. Then it's the issue of second hand so that's another 20% off.

If you want to up the price buy the headset and charger that is original for the iphone.

Cixso

Like £300 odd so it.

£100 sounds reasonable to buy this. Anything over it is a rip off.

http://www.cex.co.uk/products/Phones/Phone%20Handsets/Phones%20iPhone/index.php?sku=SAPPIPH3G16GWO2UC&name=Apple%20iPhone%203G%2016GB%20White,%20O2%20C&mode=sell

They buy the apple G3 for £165 so if the thread start gets nothing here then Cex are great value.

I'm assuming with the charger and headset with what ever comes with the purchase of the original thing.

£100 sounds reasonable to buy this. Anything over it is a rip off.

PAYG white iPhones sell for over £300. £100 is no-where near the phone's value if it's in good condition.

Yes - but it tends to be retailers that sell them for that price.

He's not a retailer.

Include the original charger and headset or what ever it was and the value will shoot right up.

£275 for a iphone G3 with no charger or headset is a rip off.

How much is the charger and headset on its own?

Jackbee
30-07-2009, 11:39 AM
Lol, do you know anything about ebay?
I garuntee you the final bid will be over £300..
So no, its not a rip-off

Apple headset and charger would only cost you like £20..

Kieran

I agree with Jack here....
It probably isn't worth quite as much as £275 but it certainly is worth a lot more than £100 :P I can get £100 for my original iPhone!

Wayne
30-07-2009, 12:16 PM
It's worth over £100 but I doubt it's worth over £250 tbh.

Maybe you should re consider your advertising and perhaps realise what forum you are even advertising from before you call people tight ass. ;)

I have never seen one person in my life not try to be tight when buying a product online second hand.

Never. How many people do you know go for the most expensive?

£100 sounds about right in my opinion based upon the facts there is nothing else that comes with it, guarantees, boxes, chargers, headsets etc.

Also it's purely based on you not being a scammer, may have a rep but doesn't stop you from running away with a few quid on habboxforum.

If you want £275 go on ebay if you know it well. If you knew it well you wouldn't have even bothered advertising here.

If they go over £300 on ebay then why did you bother advertising here? Go advertise there rather than here for £275.

Take the original price, £300.

Used condition, 66%. £200.

No box, 10%. £180.

No headphones, charger (cost £40) £140.

Deappreciation sugar. As soon as you open it, it's worth half.

Perfectly summed up.

Not far from £100 which is what I opinionated through knowledge.

Ignore Jack, he obviously has no idea how retail works if he thinks you have no idea what you are talking about.

The demand for the product pushes the price up to around £200+ :)

It's quite clear worth more than £100. ~£200 is a reasonable price.

Retail price is in the £1xx's. Maybe auctions prices differ as they do with everything compared to retail prices.

Never the less, good luck with your sale.

Jackbee, you know nothing so stop right there. The headphones retail at around £20 in some shops. An apple charger would run you about that too. The box is part of the whole iPhone experience. Its second hand. That decreases the value of the phone to about £200-230.

19 quid

= £40

Most ebay iPhones come included with AppleCare or some kind of guarantee, alot even give you the receipts they purchased them with. I just couldn't commit to a product that I had no guarantee for.

http://shop.o2.co.uk/promo/iphoneindex/Pay_And_Go/3G
That is only an 8gb and its still £350

Knock off 60 for the lack of everything that it does not come with and thats 290, then the fact that its been used would knock off 50 quid so thats 240 and the fact that you are not selling through ebay or anything like ebay which gives the buyer literally 0% protection from you scamming them which knocks off a good 80 quid for me = 160.....

I'm not saying don't buy it, but if you can handle two risks (being scammed and no guarantee) then its an alright purchase.
