Anyway I made a promise with my Dad, when I went to see 'The day the earth stood still' in the Cinema (the new version), and we thought it was crap to be honest, so I promised to watch the old version of it, and when I did I thought it was so much better!

And so this brings me to my forum game, what do you think is better, Old or New?

Leave your thing you think is better below and write why it is better Old or New.

Rules:
- Nothing rude
- Nothing offensive

Which is better, Old or New?

OK, Ill start:

Classic Movies like 'The Day the earth stood still' is so much better, because it gets straight into the 'action', and there is no special effects of anything like that.

Sorry for double post!

Maybe this should be in the movies section, Oli.

Anyway, I can't watch old films. Technology has a fantastic impact on me and my opinions of films. I haven't seen either but the war of the worlds is better with Mr.Cruise and technology etc etc.

Yes, this should be in the TV & Film forum. Old, by far, the vast majority of new films are absolutely awful. Hollywood's lost it's vision of art and replaced it with greed.
