Sims 3: How do you get more than 1 map?

ye im a noob to sims 3 and i want more than 1 map to keep my sims on

how do i unlock more? :)

Don't know if you already have the answer, even though this is a few weeks old but on the sims 3 website you can download a town called Riverview.

I don't think you can unlock towns.
