Hi all.

I received an email the other day regarding my website, thenREVIEW. And how this company wants to help, see below for information - What do you 'think' of this?

The website for the company is..
http://gamestreamer.net/ & http://games.gamestreamer.net/

Been sending emails back and forth, for a few days now.

Hello,

I wanted to reach out to theREVIEW about my company GameStreamer and how we can work together. I know the below is lengthy...but if you can take a quick read and let me know who could be the appropriate person at theREVIEW to explore this...would be appreciated.

I believe there is a GREAT fit here. Let me know if you have some time next Wednesday to talk.

Thanks,
-Brian

Mathew,

We looked over your site and would like to partner with you.

Essentially we have partnered with all the major game developers like epic, atari...etc...and created an enormous and comprehensive game store environment. No one comes close.

In addition, we set up a globally load balanced network to deliver the games with Savvis. Our CEO was one of the founders of Savvis.

What we want to do with you is we will create a store completely white labeled that will mirror your sites' look and feel exactly and be a tab withinin your site. Your viewers will then have the ability to try and purchase/download games right from your site.

We handle all fullfillment and customer service.

All in all, there is no cost to you whatsoever...we both share the revenues from the purchases.

There is more to discuss...lets jump on the phone next week...how is Next Tuesday at 3pm Eastern?

I think this can be a great partnership.

-Brian

He's also sent a 99 page powerpoint file which has alot of information on how the website works and such..

Well the background of the company checks out - they have actually partnered with all these companies. If the email is legit I'd definitely consider it seriously if it were my website.

Their company is baffling, I have no idea what they do, except perhaps a bad version of steam?

I'm not sure baffling is the word...

00chips,

Thanks for the kind words:) It doesn't have every feature of Steam yet but we're just coming out of the gates and trust me it will be better than Steam. Give it 9 months and you'll be laughing about your comments to friends as if it's cool to have said that back then:)

GameStreamer is the first ever Open Catalog for PC Games. We're doing what the App Store did for iPhone Games to PC Games. Every game developer can contribute and we're working to expand the entire gaming market by building customized game stores for our partners.

Based on the demographics and users of our client's websites or devices we customize the game store to have different look and catalog. Going further than that we're working on using the latest in collaborative filtering and social discovery to give an entirely dynamic game store that is focused on you as a person and also you as a social being with friends who help influence what type of games you play and buy.

Please follow us over the next few months and any feedback, positive or negative, is appreciated. Most of the flaws in the current version we are well aware of and any major ones will be ironed out by September 1st with lots of new content, partners and features to come.

This is official response. Company is legit, my partner and me started it over a year ago and now we've got over 25 people.

Basically you'll act as an affiliate, there is no point in doing this. If you are getting a lot of traffic to your website then there are better ways of monetizing it.
