View Full Version : Habbox Takeshis Castle.

Hi,
Wasn't sure where to post this but I figured this would be the only forum slightly suitable. It might be an idea to show this thread to the new Community AGM when they have been elected :P
I had the idea of the Events department having a permanent Takeshis Castle. It wouldn't be something that opened at a set time, it would just be a normal castle just like any other on Habbo. It would however be endorsed by Habbox.
It would be put together by the Events department, and Habbox Staff would host it throughout the day, whenever they felt like it.
It would carry the Habbox name and be advertised on Habbox.com - ensuring it to be popular all day, getting the name out there.
Opinions? :)
Yeah i think its a good idea, and what do you mean new Community AGM?

Its an OK idea but I think the problem with it is that its got Habbox's name attached to it and as its not monitored it can be bad for the name. Also, the biggest problem would be to have it moderated through out the day and to have people to host the games, give prizes etc. I think there is enough on their plates atm with out this but if its re-thought it could be an ok idea to have it open at weekends or something.
+ People said, that Sammeth. said on the forum he is resigning.

It's a nice Idea but there are TONS of rooms which advertise Habbox so another won't really matter. Newbies tend to go to these sorts of rooms and they don't really pay much attention to the site.
Habbox is already got it's name out there, its like the most famous forum on like Habbo UK USA and I've heard ALOT of canadians and Ausies talk about it aswell. So yeah, I prefer competitions which change.
@Alkaz I agree with you aswell.

Sam can't resign though soz. I can see where you're coming from with this suggestion and it would be popular should it be introduced. However, it comes down to who should organise it. Who would make all the rooms? More than likely it would be a collaboration by numerous staff members. What about when they resign? Who gets rights? What if people trash?
There is a lot to over see and I'm not sure who exactly would be interested in putting all their furni into a room to ensure it's a good standard, habbox does have standards! They would have to be of a decent quality and I'm not sure if people would put the time or effort in that it would almost certainly require.

Yeah it would have to be set up by somebody pretty high up in the Habbox staff rankings (either Events Manager or higher) and then there would need to be a lot of Events Staff to ensure regular hosts attending.
Then there's the object of prizes. How much furni would they go through in prizes in a day? Assuming the prizes were worth while, then it would be a lot!
A nice idea it is, I can't see it being successful. Just look at the Habbox Helpdesk, that's usually dead whenever I'm there (although the HxF staff will beg to differ :P).

I quite like this idea, actually. Worst case scenario is that it doesn't work. Best case scenario is that it does work, and is another successful activity that Habbox can provide. I don't see the harm in trying this out.

We'll beg to differ because that's not true:P. I don't know when you've been visiting HxHD, because usually there's people there. For instance right now:

HxHD is certainly far from being dead:).

I think it would be quite a good idea and would be quite popular, we did have the habbox maze that Jess made which was also quite popular. I don't see there being a problem with people scammingg it may happen, but if they can be trusted enough to host events and stuff i think that it would be ok for them to host that. But like Jake said it comes down to the who owns it and what if they resign and stuff! :P

Lool sorry HotelUser but that screenie is the worse example you could give - 7 people, is pretty much dead. Oh and no staff on duty?
Anyway, I like the idea and from bein' events staff I think it would work if you go about it the right way, like a perm. slot for it - maybe every Sunday at whatever time. But yeah, thats the only way I could really see it bein' successful.

The highest amount in today was 17, actually. Also there was conversation going on when I took that screenshot, but in BETA since the flash client's resolution can be dynamically expandable the text was above where I took the shot.

17 habbo's in a room is hardly really active tbh.. And i doubt they all came at once too.
Plus i shall suggest you move on from counting how many enter, wierddd.

Conversation or no conversation, its most likely to be one group of people going there for to hangout - also like I said its hardly "popular" because people are asking for help, which is the reason it should be popular, its popular because people are hanging out. Also, I point out again, in the screenshot, no staff are even on duty there.

In all honesty, the desk is actually very popular lately. Correlation with how I've been logging back on to go there and desk activity xox lol joke but yeah it's doing well atm.

I think this idea has a good possibility of working, however you'd need to take alot of things in to consideration first :)

Yeah that's exactly it! Whenever I do see a few people there, it's just mainly people I know or recognise who come in, sit on the chairs, maybe talk a bit but probably go on brb for ages :P.
HotelUser I was even there before with you, Jin and Joe and there was about 6 of us there all together lol.

I'm not quite sure you've visited HxHD very much:P. Sure we have our regulars, but there's always new faces popping up. Also, staff don't have to be behind the bar to be on duty.
Lol :P.

You were there for a short duration. I was in the desk for most of the day and only saw you later at night.

We don't do it for no reason :).

Lots of different groups of people come to the desk to hang out and the occasional person comes in to ask for help. Help desks aren't what they used to be and that's why the desk area itself is quite small, so that there's more space for people to come and talk to friends.

You can't really apply that mentality to Habbox. There are numerous suggestions that you might think should be tested. I can see your point but it's clear to me you're not seeing the wider picture.
To trial out such an idea it would include a lot of hard work by the events department and all those involved. It would take quite a long time to get all staff rights sorted and to decide how it was going to be run and who would run the rooms.
You have to kind of guess what will happen. You can do that by looking at rooms such as Habbox Hogwarts which failed miserably. I don't see how this would be any different. It involves so much organisation and if you really wanted it to work you'd have to employ someone specifically to do the task which I don't see Habbox doing.
