50 Cent features in Modern Warfare 2

50 cent can be found at Infinity Ward's studios, doing voice work for the highly anticipated Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (http://www.joystiq.com/tag/modern-warfare-2).

Robert Bowling confirmed to Kotaku (http://kotaku.com/5332780/modern-warfare-2-features-cameo-from-50-cent-and-more) that Fiddy will be supplying "one of many squad voices" featured in the game's multiplayer and Spec Ops modes. This isn't his scene what-so-ever, why the hell have they got 50 cent in it?

They justified the price-hike because of rising development costs, it's because they're paying for people like him to do voiceovers. Call of Duty 4 seemed to sell well enough without celebrity voiceovers, why does Modern Warfare 2 need them?

Having that complete and utter idiot featured in the game will have no impact on sales, so it's pretty pointless. What it comes down to is either a few people at the developer are (and God knows why) fans of his and wanted to work with him, or he got in touch and expressed his interest of doing a voiceover as he was a fan. I can see no other reason why they would just contact him out of the blue, it's not like he's in Kiefer Sutherland and Gary Oldman's league, and they voiced Call of Duty: World at War. That gave the game some credibility, but that moron won't.

I would like to say you are wrong. You cannot just "Write a song" and being a hyper celeb. There are many very talented singers out there who write songs but aint "Hyper Celebs" He worked hard to get where he is. People like his work, and directing can take different lengths of time. see new moon for example. didnt take "a few years"

I really disagree with this comment. It is Very Hard to get a successful career in the music industry, not that I know that much about it. But 50 cent has worked extremly hard to get to where he is today, hes even been shot over 7 times. So to say what you did is very inaccurate but I agree with everything else you said.
