The Vietnam war ended in 1975, so all, if not 99.9% of films based on it would be in colour.
Teen comedies. Okay...
Ferris Bueller's Day Off (tops them all)
American Pie
American Pie 2
The 40 Year-Old Virgin
Superbad
Vietnam films:
We Were Soldiers
The Deer Hunter
Full Metal Jacket
Good Morning Vietnam
Platoon
Apocalypse Now
Born on the Fourth of July
Hamburger Hill
blackhawkdown
jarhead
cass
i.d
gladiator

I found Full metal jacket over rated,
Like we were soldiers

I agree about Full Metal Jacket, maybe it is a good film but for my liking its a bit too disjointed. Prefer Platoon as it just seems more real.
For teen comedies Waynes World is a must, I can never get tired of that film

Personally, I know it's old but do you remember BANZAI? That's makes me laugh so much.
If you don't it's the Japanese game show, with Mr. Cheeky Chappy, Mr. Shaky hands man, etc.
It is cheesy in some parts. It started off really good, then when they ran out of ideas they just looked for rude stuff like match the breasts to these naked "senior" women. Eitherway it was good before they tired to freak you out. They started the Jackass shopping cart craze.
Also, The young ones was an 80's comedy with Ade Edmondson and Rik Mayall. It was genius.
If you want films;
The Shawshank Redemption
The Green Mile
Zak and Miri make a porno
If you want to watch Paul Blart Mall cop, you can watch die hard and imagine a fat guy doing it; or viceversa it works both ways.
Otherones that have been mentioned that are good
Wayne's world (The first one)
40 Year Old Virgin

Oh of course, I forgot. Yes, I enjoyed the jungle adventures of Lieutenant Maximus.
