You literally didn't do anything and it's just all gone? :S Do you remember going on any Habbo-related websites recently apart from the usual (Habbox etc)?

You've went on a website that has infected your computer or someone stole your session.
It's possible.

Or you have used the same password on another website.
Man, I feel sorry for you.

People don't need your email to hack your habbo, all they need is good details and a excuse.

Also my pass for habbo is quite old and most my passwords are completely different except 1 but that has nothing to do with habbo at all.
And the only habbo related sites are habbox..

You should scan your computer using this online scanner if you think you might be infected:

You can get hacked quite easily nowadays. It happend to me a few years back.

Did you only use the console or did you meet anyone else with your T's on display? Because is it Hybrid-theory or something that can just d/c you.

Also, if it was pure t's. I think habbo still monitors every Throne transaction now. So you could always contact the habbo officies.

Sorry to hear you were hacked :(.

From reading your post it seems that you have been reverted.
This is one of the most common methods hackers use on habbo and it simply means owning all your emails...

If you have facebook or myspace public hackers often get most info needed for a revert.

You should contact email support and find out if this was the case.:)

The really bad thing is, i cant remember what the birthday is i made the account under!
So hahaha -.-

Accipiter
11-08-2009, 01:08 PM
you don't need the b'day to be exact on that account if you have clones with your proper b'day say those are your clones and say thats your birthday and they'll link it.

there is also some hackers that throw a hacking program on your computer and get the info they need then wait a while so then u dont realise how it happend so this is why i dont vist any website habbo based apart from habbox and habbo forum i dont have anything that can be traced to my account like its email or birthdate on this computer when ever im dealing with somthing like that i use a different computer to check its emails from habbo that way the hack will have no knowlage of the email address and it will be like finding a needle in a hay stack you just need to take alot of steps to make sure u dont get hacked now a days because hackers are getting smarter and craftyer

No problem but as said above hackers have ways of getting DOBS through some programme i believe even if the account owner doesn't know it :( I don't know how they do it but it can be done also if they get into ur account when loading the habbo client by clicking view source it tells you how old the habbo is ie date of birth.

Yes, this Is because of poor coding on Habbos part

It will be fixed soon mark my words.

Basically, if you don't want to be hacked then follow simple guidelines:

- Don't add Habbos to your MSN Messenger or accept files from them (They can also steal your IP which can be used for reverting your email)
- Don't own a Hotmail account on your Habbo as they are SO easily reverted
- Don't tell people your second name (They can Facebook you and steal all your info they need to revert you)

Basically just don't give people any information of yours and have a mail.com account.

Yeah, Frisky's advice is pretty good. I also personally use different DOB's and different personal info and different emails on all of my main accounts on different sites, and just keep the information all written down in a little notebook that I keep in my room. Like for example, I'd make an email address specifically to use just for verifying my habbo, but then never use it for anything else. That way if someone gets into the email you use on a daily basis, they can't get to your habbo account. Course if you get keylogged, you're still screwed, but it helps a bit at least and if you don't download from sites or visit sketchy places, you'll be even better off.

Yeh, good advice :)

Using different DOB's really helps because even if they did manage to find yours out, it wouldnt work :D

Also use an e-mail that nobody knows.

Excellent advice!

I agree that hotmail accounts are so easily reverted so i would suggest Yahoo.
From looking around it seems it's safest and although it can be reverted it is way more complicated than a hotmail revert.

Also hackers gain your trust before they sting you so even your bestfriend on habbo could be a hacker!

Ok i can't get you your full DOB but i can get the year of birth if that would help.

What you need to do is load the habbo hotel up and on the loading screen right click and select "View source"
A load of coding will come up but your looking for the line

var ad_keywords = "[Your tag here],[your tag here],[your tag here]gender%3Am,age%3A16";

once you find that line look at
age%3A16";
As you can see at the end of this it says "16"
This is how old the habbo is!
So minus 16 from 2009 and you get the year of birth :)
hope this helped.

What exactly is "reverting"?

Cyndia

What exactly is "reverting"?

It's when hackers recover your email password by gathering enough personal information from you that they can pretend to be you, and get a password reset/figure out your secret question answers. You'd be surprised at the sort of stuff you can accidentally let slip to people in daily conversation - especially since you really can't trust anyone you meet online. Like Dj-Flame said, they gain your trust, then screw you over. That's why using incorrect personal info will prevent this from happening, even if you do tell some stranger your life story! (Which of course you shouldn't do, haha). :)

Sorry to hear about £90 pound worth getting hacked off you.
Keyloggers are binded with a file normally .exe so you do in fact have to download something.

Keyloggers won't start downloading unless you click to download a file etc
Also if you are downloading something from rapidshare etc always check file size against an original file from certified seller/ download.

Also most "Noob" hackers will use Ardamax keylogger which is easily removed
To search your computer for an Ardamax computer if you feel unsafe or worried go to http://www.2-spyware.com/remove-ardamax-keylogger.html

Hope this helped :)

That's actually not true, hackers can easily use Java related coding to automatically download and execute spyware on your computer, silently, in the background, it's just whether your AV is good enough to pick up these actions and stop them from happening.

You can't code the whole thing in Java as it just isn't possible but if your on about implementing keylogger using JNI then yes it could be done but even the most basic keyloggers will pick this up.

StefanWolves

It can be done, trust me.

The most simple way is to simply sign and verify Java Applets via using JDK, tied in with some HTML.

Then some simply modifying could easily enable them to be executed without the user knowing.

Also, AVs don't pick stuff up if their UD or FUD, which isn't hard to do.

FUD is the easiest thing to do but I've never seen a site with a keylogger that atomatically downloads and i still can't figure out how you could implement a FUD Keylogger.

The code I have seen and seen in use automatically downloads the software but asks if you want to 'run' or 'cancel', but I have read that a simple modification of the coding and you can easily get it to execute in the background, never seen it, but people have done it and it can be done.

I've never honestly heard of it and I know it could atomatically come up on site saying "download" , "Save as" "cancel" but i never thought that it could run in the background of a site and automatically install.

I'd copy and paste the numerous coding into here but I'd probably get warned or an infraction.
