Hello,
You may have read THIS (http://www.habboxforum.com/showthread.php?t=597386) thread.

*Removed*

Now as ***** suggested I am droppin some bombs (not literally!!) on my PRIMARY COMPUTER to upgrade from old, rusty Q6600 to NEW spangled Core i7.

I am then going to move my old hardware to the new computer box.

This is the new hardware I am going to get:

1x http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-019-CS (Corsair 850w HX psu)
1x http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=BU-003-OB (Pre-overclocked fantastic i7 bundle from the chaps of OcUK)

This is what's going in the file server (apart from my current stuff):
6x http://www.ebuyer.com/product/143288 (Samsung F1 1tb drives (i have 2 already!))
1x http://www.ebuyer.com/product/147226 (An adaptec raid controller.)
and of course the case to put it in!!!!
http://www.microdirect.co.uk/home/product/39017/Codegen-4U-600-black-4U-rackmount-chassis-NO-PSU?source=googleps (A CASE LOL)

So that is pro. Opinions, rate, build, thread, tags.

Is their much of a difference between DDR2 and DDR3 except for the price? would I see a sizable difference in speed if I bought DDR3?

I don't think you would notice the difference in speed. In my opinion the only reason to go DDR3 is if your new motherboard doesn't support DDR2.

Some people say you can notice the difference.. haven't tried it personally.
