"Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear" said the three headed police man :P

Anyway, looks like more Microsoft bashing. i4i's XML patent is only popular because of Microsoft Office...

Haven't Microsoft ever heard of "out with the old, in with the new"? for christs sake get over IE6.

I see why they don't want to retire it though, it's still being used by so many people, probably most of which in smaller undeveloped countries.

But something needs to be done about it.

Tbh I don't care about the second story, all this horrible copyright/patent mess which goes on is ridiculous and I'm sick of hearing about it. Aparently Apple has a patent on the pinch gesture on multitouch touch screens but everyone else and their dog is using it so yeah.

As for IE6, I don't get what microsoft have to gain by letting people use it. They should use windows update to force IE8 onto people's machines. Google, Mozilla and Opera should really start pushing their browsers too through a TV ad campaign and stuff like that, people simply don't know there are alternatives to IE which is why it still has such a horribly huge market share

IE6 was brilliant back in the day, and for the people that are still using XP SP2 IE6 is a godsend.

I personally don't have any problems with IE 6 (too lazy to update any XP installs, but I use FF anyways LOL).

Although, the patent infringement is just down right stupid, MS need to tell them to get their heads out of their asses.

Does this mean we won't have Office any more? :S

How come? I'm using SP2 and IE7, and no problems?
