Easier enough, just lie about it, pretend you lost it

Then you have to file a police report incase it was possibly stolen.

No just say you lost it, not stolen.

You sure it'll work? cause i'll phone up tomorrow and say fell out of my pocket whilst doing my daily jog or something...

Also, to the OP, what phone number did you ring? :)

Yeah, don't call yet. Ask the thread starter to give you an overview of what he said so your sure.

Okay, just realised, If I say it's lost, they'll just lock the sim won't they? so they'd have to send another sim with a different number? (or the same one) or they could lock the phone itself? so I wouldn't be able to sell it? :P

efq

People have ways to unlock them I think. Affects the sale price a tiny incy bit I think.

Ill see what the OP says first, really looking to do this though. :)

Hmm, still looking to do this.... :P

Come on OP what are you doing!! :D

Josh-H

If you report it lost then they'll lock the old sim and the IMEI number of the old phone will be reported.. Don't do it if you just want to sell the old one on, not worth it. Worth it for a new phone though!

How did that guy get a new iPhone 3GS and get to sell his old iPhone 3G then? I smell some porkies.... :P

Jack!
17-08-2009, 10:30 AM
say that it got broke or something, you dropped it didnt you ;)

and then they wont lock the phone or sim, because they belive it is broken, and then you can sell it no problem!

StefanWolves
17-08-2009, 10:33 AM
But if I say it got broke, I'm sure they won't send a replacement? as it was my fault it's broke? :P

Wish the OP would post with what he said, really looking to do this, :P

This guy doesn't seem to have trouble selling the same iPhone as mine with a blocked IMEI number??

So that's some good news. :)

Haha, now, O2, for being a crap provider, and ripping me off with a bolt on, you will be punished! free iPhone 3GS WHITE pls.

PM the thread starter. Nothing can stop you from using a iPhone if its stuff like blocked. Anyone can unblock it or just change it.

Stefan, I can understand how frustration as you've dropped your iPhone and need a replacement. I've checked your account and I can see that you don't have the insurance covers on your iPhone. This is the reason you won't be receiving the replacement phone. You can purchase the Pay & Go iPhone and use it. You'll need to contact our sales team on 08702 257 879. They're available:

Dad didnt purchase the insurance, what a cheap skate. :P

Just go take up insurance on it now with your bank and then pretend you dropped it.

Very risky trying incase they say they won't replace it.
