1) They can't, it's illegal to take them out of the country because of democracy.

2) No, my uncle brought them back, so no it's not dirty money, pointless posts = spam, amirite?

Burma operates under a military regiment and thus money is almost completely worthless.

Be a good sport and send that money to people over there who need it.

They are worth around £90 per 1000 kyats, so they aren't really worthless...

And why would i do that? To be honest, i know if i was proor they wouldn't send me any money therefore i wont send them any. I look out for myself and my others, no one else.

Have you never heard of Oxfam/Comic Relief/charity in general?

yes i have, and im not basically gonna throw away £1500. Id rather keep it myself as im a greedy ****.

and well, if i was to send it out of the kindness of my darkened heart. The government would most likely take it, if im correct?

No, send it to the right people and they will buy aid for the refugee camps.

You don't have to send all of it.

You just don't, it's completely worthless money. Hardly anyone even goes to Burma so fat chance of selling it. Not to mention it'd be illegal to bring the money in and if they're suitcases are checked (High chance in a country with a military regime) then they will be arrested. And just today in the news we all know it's not worth getting arrested in Burma, home to human rights abuse. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/asia-pacific/8203810.stm

I think giving it to the correct agencies would be the right thing to do because frankly the money is worthless to you. Either way you get nothing, but atleast you could have the feeling of helping others.

Might as well give it to me for £60 mate. Monies on the table all you have to do is accept my "generous" offer. ;) :8
