Its been waited upon for over two years and now finally tonight the old entropia universe will shut down while the new version is installed.

The client software is already downloadable for the new update which is about 4GB in size. If you can run crysis then you will be able to run this with a moderate internet connection (Around about 2mbps or more)

About the game:
The game uses a real cash economy with an exchange rate of $1 to 10PED (PED=Ingame currency)
Money is depositable and still holds real world value once in the game which can then be later withdrawn into a bank account. This means if you play well and earn lots you could be making some real cash.

Entropia Currently holds the world records for the Most expensive virtual item ever sold (http://www.virtualworldsnews.com/2007/09/entropia-sets-g.html) and the largest MMORPG with a real cash economy.

Note: The features from the old version of entropia are being released in three stages predicted over up to three weeks. The game will be playable from the first release however team hunting, land areas, other planets, teleportation chips and many others will be re-added in the following small updates.

Enjoy the brand new entropia!

For those wondering, the first update which starts tonight could take anything from one day up to a week to complete.

Sorry for bump, cannot edit.

Last night the game went online. A few systems are still to be installed in the following weeks including new planets to explore. Kevin Rudolf has his own area in the game (Coming Soon) and also another Rock Band.

Sure, whats your ingame name, and what time do you want to meet?
Also it won't be very newbie friendly for a couple of weeks since they still have 2 small updates to go to re-impliment all the old systems.

It's a MMO virtual world "simulator", you don't need an explanation.

Its only just been launched and there will be updates out shortly. Also its a vast improvement from the old version and my graphics card isn't great if you thought that from my video.

The game still needs a lot of work but it is continuously developed so can only be improved.

At the moment its quite tricky for those who don't deposit simply because they haven't finished re-implimenting all the old systems which could take up to half a year the way things are going. Things are improving steadily though.

You can mine, hunt, craft and also there are loads of other ways of making money ingame such as trading or opening your own business like a beauty parlor etc. The main point is the ingame currency holds real world value! The exchange rate is tied in with the USD at $1=10PED

You can not only deposit but say you made or won some cash ingame you can withdraw that money to your real world bank :O!

There are a couple of uber players who make their living off it. One is nicknamed NEVERDIE and he makes approximately $10k USD a month!

Also the game can otherwise be pretty fun. Theres PVP etc...
