Hey guys,

Anyone remember that I got my iPod Touch wet? (http://www.habboxforum.com/showthread.php?t=578104). Well my dad plugged in into the computer + it just turned on, went to the apple logo and turned back off again. Then kept doing that. Last night I plugged it into my computer + held down the home button and tried doing an update + restore of it, and it downloaded fine, extracted fine, prepared ipod for restore fine, then on the iPod it goes from the usb into itunes logo to apple, then a little loader at the bottom appears then it turns off. Then I get an error #1611. Any ideas on how to fix?

(I tried two different users on 1 pc. Should I try my laptop?)

Thanks,
Ryan.

Ive reinstalled iTunes on PC and laptop, no luck, the websites no help anyway :( Thanks though.

Incase you needed to know, the iPod won't turn on unless its plugged in and goes straight to the iTunes usb logo thing.

It sounds to me like the USB thingy, the bit where it plugs in has water damage, Is it under warranty?

If Apple say no, claim on your parents contents insurance. That's all I can suggest, cos a similar thing happened with my PSP

Yea could try that.

Do you reckon apple will believe that the software malfunctioned before I "got it out of my pocket and it poured it down" argg the lies. :eusa_danc
