nothing really really cheapish but like my sister thinks our dog poppy the labrador is fat so she gets her low fat food.
mainly dog biscuits though for poppy.
They have this disgusting rabbit flavoured dog food then they get something called a Bonio. it's basically a bone and its crunchy and it apparently cleans their teeth!
p.s i thought you said "what dog do you feed your dog? :)"

I'm still unsure what to get my puppy labrador, he's currently on Pro Plan Puppy by the breeders, and im not sure what to get, as Pro Plan's not the greatest.

if you're getting a labrador then get any biscuits that are for junior puppies, dont give it dog food ( as in meat :P) it'll give it the squirts:)
we found this out with our labrador poppy.
OH AND BE PREPARED TO BE FOLLOWED EVERYWHERE WHEN YOU HAVE FOOD THEY ARE GREEDY BUGGERS:D
great character though.

pro plan's alright but you're better off giving them hills/royal canin/james wellbeloved.. eukanuba's really good too as it's got a really high meat content compared to the likes of pedigree and bakers (which are about 4%, they're crap foods with good marketing)
eukanuba's also got DHA in the diet which is great for puppies as it's proven that puppies that have DHA in their diet learn things faster than those who don't. Meat is the man ingredient too.. cheaper foods have cereals etc as their main ingredient so they're getting a vegetable based protein which they can't take in as well as meat-based ones, so you end up feeding more food.
fyi: bakers is a terrible dog food, with a really low meat content and it's full of sugar and carbohydrates, makes the dog loopy.. loads of colours too.. x

Yeah i'll never give him a high street brand like pedigree or bakers.
I've looked at Royal Canin and James Wellbeloved. I've also been told Pets@Home's own brand is good also?

www.dogfoodanalysis.com, you'll find that alot of the ones you think are good are only 1-2 stars
It's a pretty good site because it goes through the ingredients and goes through all the cons and pros of the product

If you actually loved your dogs, you wouldn't feed them dog food because god knows what they put in it. You see on the adverts and it doesn't look nice, does it? If you loved your dog so much then you would feed the dog what you liked.

All of the well known brands are pretty crap, they hardly have any protein and loads of E numbers.
We feed our dog pets at home own brand cause thats not bad at all, but Hills is one of the best, even though quite expensive.

No, thats humanising a dog which leads to it being nervous around other dogs and people, through that nervousness comes aggresion, epic fail.

what a stupid comment and a generic waste of bandwidth.. if you feed your dog 'what you liked' like cooked chicken, scrambled eggs etc although it's good for newborn puppies as it's got a high protein content and generally a good source of protein, you cant feed a dog on it, mainly as they'll put on weight alot, they will become fussy and thus 'perk their nose up' at normal dog food in the future and become agressive.

We get these huge bags of cruton/biscuit thingies which lasts about a month which he seems to love :). I got him this normal box of dog biscuits the other day but he doesn't like them.. even if you put one or two in his food he avoids eating it lol.

It'll be the E numbers in it too. They add them to colour the biscuits so we think it looks good and buy it. The dog doesnt care what colour his food is.
They usually tend to eat any brands we throw at them. We don't always go for the obvious (pedigree/bakers/butchers), we just get anything as long as it isn't too cheap and the dogs always seem to enjoy it. I have to feed the dogs, we have 2 dogs and they have a big tin each sometimes with biscuits if we have any in. At the moment we have the new pedigree tins and a few cans of something random that I can't remember the name of.

we don't have just one. whatever is there and if there is anything on offer for example we might buy that.
