So basically I rang OcUK a few hours ago and said "hay remove the 4890 from my order" they said k and did it.

My order is now this:

The chap on the phone said tomorrow or Friday for the items to arrive, so I will post updates then. And also when I get the delivery notice sent to me :8

The 5800 series should be coming out next month, they support DX11 and all the nifty bells and whistles that go with them. Gonna buy a toxic or similar (custom fans etc) card when they come out.

Do you use Dong Fix as your name on things or are you just hiding your name for the forum?

Hiding my name. All stuff I do legally has my real name & contact details.

Sigh... you paid an extra £15 for an overclock you could do yourself for free?

Mind you, I suppose £15 is hardly anything in the grand scheme of things.

Pre tested + pretty much guaranteed stable, pretty cheap I'd say.

Running prime95, stable as hell so far :8 Running at about 70c, fans are ridiculously quiet.

Gonna get some photos up shortly, check here (http://imgbear.com/build) for them.

oh man. That pic is teasing... my gfx card should have come yesterday, still not here yet... :'(

Nice, makes my processor look cold, but then again mine's just 2.33Ghz whereas yours is 4Ghz... I'll take a look at the pics.

ehehe nice doggy!

Running at 90c~ under load, acceptable. But close to the thermal limit, I'll have to see if I can get it down a bit.

The dog is known as dogginchops or star, depending on how I feel. Usually dogginchops.

Try disabling hyperthreading. In some cases it decreases performance

Congratulations, nice hardware. You should use the money you saved from not buying another GPU and use it to liquid cool that sucker and get it to 4.5/4.6GHz

Ya I was thinking about doing that, might try it now actually, if it pushes temps below 80 on load I'll keep it like that. If it balls up gta's performance I'll put it back on.

I'm not so sure GTA's performance will go down. I'm actually expecting it to go up because I have yet to see a game which benefits from i7's multithreading.

Fair enough, HT is staying off, rides around the 79 mark when it's under load now.

Time for some bioshock.

Seems extremely hot. What is the thermal max as my Phenom II's max is only 61*C. God.
