Hey,

I am going to do a football referee's course and was wandering if anyone has done one in the past?

A couple of questions:

How did you find the course?
Did you get it done under your team (You can suposedly get your team to pay for it?)

Anyway,

Cheers,

Dom

My Dad is an ex Ref and now runs the courses in the South Wales area, so I took mine through him.

How old are you?

I think its wierd if young people take refereeing courses and want ot become a referee when they're young, you should want to play!

14 (You need to be 14 to take the course)

And you can still play if you referee, just you get the qualification and also money ;)

14? You'll be refing the under 12's, 11's, 10's etc. I think your club can input on the payment however they don't have to if they believe you're good enough to play for them and don't want to lose a decent player (or have the prospect of losing him).

Yep I am pretty sure about under 11's and tens, dunno about under 12's (I think it might be three years younger??) But I am 15 in January anyway :)

My club doesn't fund sadly (And Colchesters Goalkeeping Alliance doesn't)

My dad used to manage a junior football team and he paid for me to go on it. I used to manager two under 9's games every saturday and get £20 for it. - This was when I was 16.

Depends on the league, between £6-16. Can sometimes rise up to £20-25 but that's the leagues with a fair bit of talent.
