Trading Pass Scam

Today I lost my 1 year Lost_witness anniversary trophy due to somebody not having a trading pass.

Somebody added me and said they would give me 200 credits for the trophy. I stalked them and the room had about 10 thrones and 20 gold bars in it. I traded him and it said he didn't have a trading pass. He then said 'oh, i'll send you the 200 credits in a present.' I said ok then, and eventually i wanted the 200 credits as its the best (and only) offer i had, so I gave him the trophy. He then kicked and removed off friends list etc.

I didn't loose any furniture really as I got it free when attending the anniversary event, but beware of this scam - NEVER GO FIRST.

I should have asked him to send 100 credits first but oh well, its habbo lol.

Just a warning guys - don't fall for it.

Never trust anybody without a trading pass. They don't have them for a reason. Sorry to hear about your loss. :(

It's nothing to do with a Trading Pass really; it's the same as any common irregular trade where someone is required to "go first" and become vulnerable.


Always have a middle man.

I don't see the logic in that tbh. Either the middle man is someone I don't know, so they could scam me as easily. Or if it's someone I do know, I could just be getting them to scam the other person for me :S.

he obviously had a trading pass (10t..) but turned trade off, always check creation date when someone 'doesnt have one'

set up a new trade craze where you find trusted middle men then and traders in these circumstances but i most probaly think a moderator would do it for you after checking your ip's.

That room was either not his, OR he turned his trading pass thing off.
You should of just made sure than the presents actually contained what ever you needed first.

The t's were probably were his, but he go them in the same way he got your trophie
