Hey guys!
I came up with the idea recently and its been put into practice.
Basically its a site.. you go on and there are a number of 'raffles' being held. You choose an item or a bundle of items you are interested in, for example one raffle may be for 50 coins, or for 5 hc sofas, or for a hc set. Then you can buy raffle tickets. So for example for the 50 coins a raffle ticket may cost 20p. So you can buy as many as you want but the more you buy the more you have a chance of winning. So you buy, and pay for the tickets and you get emailed with raffle ticket number/s.
Through the system an administrator (myself) can set the minimum amount of tickets that have to be sold before the raffle is held so in this case it may be 30 which means (30 x 20p = £6.00) and guessing the average person will buy 5 tickets for £1 would mean this would be quite achievable. So anyway when the minimum amount of tickets have been sold everyone that enters gets an email saying that the raffle is going to be held, they will be notified if they have been lucky within 20 Minutes or whatever. So the system picks a number at random and emails the person. And i give the person the prize.
You may have noticed that the person who bought it got a bargain, everyone had a bit of fun hasnt really lost a great deal if they havent won and i have made a profit. As a gold bar is not £6 or whatever.
I would make it legit and so on. And i would NOT scam people. I would also hold raffles for other peoples stuff too.
What d'ya think? Would you wanna enter a raffle like this? Am i wasting my time? Any improvements i need to make?
The system has been developed, and is going through testing as we speak. And the number generator thing would be 100% fair and tested.
