Anyone like?
My favourite band currently out there, but by no means the best. I think there the nearest to a "Rock & Roll" group there is since most rock has branched off into sub-genres nowadays. I'm a huge fan of Slash, so I'm gonna like any band he's in, but I think VR have more to offer than just Slash and heavy riffs. They'll never be as big/good as Guns n' Roses, cause there's no Axl or Izzy there, but they can sure as hell give it a try. Their debut album, Contraband, was amazing, #1 on the billboard charts in the US for a few weeks and understandably so. I recommend Contraband as a worthwhile purchase to any hard rock fans.
They can also deliver the goods live. This was proved at Live 8; here are some votes casted by viewers after the event:
3rd. Madonna
(19699 votes)
2nd. Velvet Revolver
(72836 votes)
1st. Pink Floyd
(180574 votes)

I think that's pretty decent for such an unknown band with a hell of a lot of critics. Whilst I'm on the subject of votes, here's one:
Snoop Dogg
(767 votes)
767 people thought snoop dogg gave the best performance of Live 8...They must of turned it off when he finished.

Anyway, I can't wait for VR's next album, expected towards the end quarter of this year. I just hope they stay together and don't go out like GnR did.

Recommended songs:
Fall to Pieces
Slither
Su'ckertrain Blues

I could not agree more, I like you am a massive fan of Slash, I recently got this massive poster of him up on my wall and it looks awesome Ill take a pic and show you some time. My favourite band at the minute is either Yellowcard cause ive always loved them or Velvet Revolver, I also still love snakepit which was slash's original band besides from GNR and Blues Ball <33333

o.O Cool. What shop you get this poster from. The only Slash poster I've seen around Manchester is the old close up of his face from like 1989.
Yellowcard are alright, just bore me at times.
