View Full Version : What's with Plimsolls?
Hello everybody, has anyone else noticed that pretty much nearly EVERY teenager is wearing a pair of plimsolls? are they like really comfy or something? or is just just the fashion atm? what do you think about them?

they are pretty comfy once you've worn them in a bit, plus plimsolls, especially black ones, tend to go quite well with a lot of clothes, and unless you get designer ones, they're usually a decent price

Yups, they're comfy and easy to run in, in-case you're ever being chased, like me x]
Though I have the ones with the ankle bit, like the converse.

I think they suit girls more than boys.

They're too popular and I don't think they look that good. No offence. They look better on girls than lads.

White ones are nice, on girls but not on guys.
Guys don't suit them... Although 2 of my friends (one who dresses very camp) got them and another decided to follow... lol.
I prefer the shoes I recently bought from River Island though.
But yeah, white ones are nice, other colours I don't like, but good on girls, not guys.

they only look good on slim boys.

They go with a lot of stuff and are fairly simple and cheap. That being said they aren't actually that comfortable because they're flat. On a night out I'd probably wear a nice pair of leather shoes because they are comfortable and plimsoles are just casual wear really.

They're horrid. I would never own a pair.
I have worn them once in my life for 50s day.
They were absolutely terrible. They also caused me to skin both my legs and knees from tripping on the blacktop >;l
I don't think they look gd with really anything tbh. And I don't find them comfortable at all.
Just my opinion.

But ye, they do look good with most stuff and are comfortable :D And ye, I brought like 6 pairs from primark for £2 each :P they get dirty pretty quick and its easier to just get a new pair :P
They are fashion but yes, they are really comfortable. My friend wears them for biking. I wear them for nights out, currently have 4 pairs! :D

i ƒ (heart symbol on Habbo) them, the only footwear that are really comfy and goes with these black jeans i have.
I've never noticed this, but we used to wear plimsols in P.E when I was in year 6, so if they're the exact plimsols you're on about, them people are mad :P

could someone answer this though? how long have you worn them for, or is it since they have become 'fashionable'?
DamianLove

They are practical and therefore have become fashionable due to so many wearing them again.
I have loads aha.
They are just easy to throw on.
I'd say about year I've had atleast one pair.
i have a grey pair but i need to buy another pair of white because they have holes in as i wore them so much :eusa_whis

I got black and white and grey checkered ones from topman for £20 and I've out lived them tbh lmao. They go with like everything I wear so they're a little overworn but nevermind.
My mate at school wears black ones for school and he gets told to take em off, when plimsolls are the replacement for unacceptable shoes

Vans ftw :]
I have about 6-7 pairs go well with jeans too :]

I refuse to wear them.
They are ugly, impractical, and I wish they had stayed in school PE halls and out of pop culture.
