I thought I would try it out with a stereoscopic video from Nvidia.

I recommend using 3d glasses because cross eyed will probably just give you a headache lol.

You need to have special hardware for that anyway. You could view in the new 3d if you downloaded a free stereoscopic player www.iz3d.com (http://www.iz3d.com) and had the right hardware for it.

Photoshop, You don't even need two separate images if its only a static image.

copy the image so that you have the same image in both layers, then remove the red channel from the top image and edge it slightly off to the right but not too much so it shows the red while you're wearing 3d glasses.

Example I made: The nose floats by itself.
