Yeh, because 1/4 of a litre is 250ml, a shot is 45ml, so 250/45= 5.5 reccuring so thats 5 and a half shots, which would pretty much get me drunk :)

I've only ever had vodka and coke once while I've been going out on fridays. I bought a quarter litre of glens and drank it all with coke. I can remember the night really well which kind of shows that I wasn't drunk, I can remember laughing at the night at the museum 2 advertisement on the bus shelter because one of the rats looked like one of my mates lmao. So no it probably didn't do that much to me, just got a little tipsy. Vodka is a drink that I can drink well due to the fact that I have always drank Smirnoff ice on my friday nights.

Edit: I just want to point out that what rozi said isn't valid. You can't compare drinking 5 shots to an equal amount of vodka normally, this is because when you drink a shot you are drinking it much faster than you would normally so you are obviously going to get more drunk.

A shot is 25ml in a majority of bars, i've seen 35 before but never 45 :S

Its just the info I found off google and yahoo answers :) Google says 1 shot is: 42.6196114 millilitres and from yahoo I used this (http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20060924070507AA95S8S), but I understand shots change throughout different bars and clubs

very - i've come to the conclusion welsh people must have some form of additional organ that makes the immune to alcohol.

Seen him have similar quantities many times after also, tis one hell of a resistance hes built up :p

Lightweight heavyweight whateverweight I find the atmosphere is what has greater effect - or rather, the atmosphere denotes how drunk I will get in terms of general drunken behaviour. If I'm not with people I like and just not having a good time, a quarter litre will do nothing (although of course biologically it will) whereas if I'm with my most pedigree chums and we're having a right bash of it, that mood could easily elevate me to not needing nearly so much to drink

Depends how you drink it, if you want to get drunk quickly take it in shots or all at once. I recently partook in a wager among friends as to whether I could drink half a 70cl bottle of Glens in one go. I did and it got me a large bit drunk. But I earned £2.50 and had a much better train journey.

when i go to the pub and to only the pub i get drunk fairly easily but still manage to closing time, usually have about 7-8 pints but when I'm out clubbing I seem to just drink and drink and it doesn't do much.

It does depend on the build of the person, for instance a larger person could drink allot more than a avarge size person. But i also think it depends how often that person drinks.

Not at all true, I know big guys who don't need much to be totally gone and very small people who can binge heavily without problem. Alcohol works differently on everyone just like any drug

thats actually really true, if im not enjoying myself i dont feel drunk, but if i have the same amount with people i like and can have a good time with, i feel drunk.. its weird lol
